  • What a Rollercoaster!

    What a day yesterday!

Traffic was unusually horrible - my car was rear ended in traffic - I cut my foot on the glass on the road - and I was over an hour late picking up DrB at the hospital... whew! On the plus side, he and I had a few rare moments alone last night that helped recharge both of our love batteries but yikes - it was a crazy day!

How about everyone else? Has this week been nuts for anyone else?

Kinda. Been wondering off and on if O is sick or not all week and yesterday O ran into Zef (puppy) with his tricycle. Cut a big hole in his lower leg. Thank goodness dh is a surgeon. I held the puppy why dh cleaned it out and stitched it together then bandaged it up. Poor puppy! .
Wife to Hand Surgeon just out of training, mom to two lovely kittys and little boy, O, born in Sept 08.

Yikes! DrB tells me all the time that he might not be handy with the house stuffs but in a pickle, he's great in emergencies! Glad the puppy is alright!

Uh oh... bat-shit crazy, in my experience, is never good. Unless it's a one night stand - then it was good just that once in college. Other than that - bad news bears!

            Hope it gets better soon!!!!

I would kill for a one night stand right about now...

However, the craziness is all work related bc I have taken on a huge project...

This month has been NUTS. Tomorrow is the first day all month I actually have NO obligations (ok outside of the house, I have to clean it).

I tried to get my saftey inspection on the car done. It failed. Miserably. So I dropped my car off today to have it looked at... its probably going to be a couple grand.

We matched today. We will be moving across the entire country this June. Yup. From one coast to the other.

Its been a strange week. The family is already getting crazy about Thanksgiving plans. 83 year old great aunt is mad at asshat uncle that might or might not have helped out her 50 something year old son 3 years ago with finding a job when he was down on his luck. Jerk uncle clams he did help and gave him a check for 3K. Anyways, now everyone says they do not want to meet or go anywhere because of their dogs. WTH is wrong with these people?

Have you checked craigslist? I hear you can find anything you want on there; though, something tells me most of the people using that are part of the 4H club. That's probably too broad an assumption. I guess I lost my crazy, throw caution to the wind-ness sometime after I turned 25.

But a huge project could be good in the long-run, yes? Maybe it will help gain you exposure to upper levels of management or something that could lead to a promotion or a merit increase?

Drama exhausts me. My family is very splintered because of family drama, too and I'm sure the proverbial shit will hit the fan once our wedding invites go out and they realize how many of them aren't invited. Family dynamics are a curious thing. Do you have a group of friends you could plan something with instead? Or maybe just go wild and do something totally non-traditional and not related to Thanksgiving at all!

Sidebar: I can't believe we're talking about Thanksgiving... how is it already almost October?!

I hope it gets better, moonlight!
