  • I have news to share...

I am more of a lurker than a poster but I wanted to share our happy news with you all.

My DH just landed a GI fellowship starting in 2005. We have both felt stressed out since he started sending out his applications, and this morning the GI program director called him in for a meeting to let him know that they were offering him one of the 8 spots (only 2 of which were available as of this morning) for 2005.

It's incredibly exciting, we can think seriously about starting a family and buying a house and all the other wonderful things that go along with this. Really really happy over here!!

Thanks for the good wishes, everyone. It has definitely taken me a looong time to reach the point where 3 additional years of training is actually a GOOD thing, lol, but the truth is he has worked hard and I am proud.
