I visited CJ Banks online yesterday and within 12 hours, I got an email from them about points on my account. This is the 2nd time this has happened. Is this just a bizarre coincidence? Anyone else experience this with a retailer?

Yes, and I hate it. Pottery Barn/PBTeen/PBkids all do this, even when I'm not signed in. I would get an email saying come back, and check out ....whatever it was that I was looking at. Grr. I DID notice that when I visit, I get more coupons. (I turned off the email notifications, btw. Not sure how many stores offer that option.)

I wasn't signed in either. Just browsing. The lack of privacy is so annoying!~Mom of 5, married to an ID doc

Check your phone settings. The store likely has a geofence set up and you can change your phone settings to not enable them to detect you.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geo-fence
Go into your iPhone settings, click on "General". In the "Genernal" menu, select "Background App Refresh" and disable it. This will stop your phone from triggering the geofence. I think you can turn off geofences in "Location Services", too, but I think that requires you completely shut off "Location Services".

Whoops! Disregard. I thought you meant you visited a physical store. Never mind. That will teach me to not read the thread title.
