  • Do you have any tattoos?

I'm curious! Do you have any tattoos? If so, what/where are they (if you're comfortable sharing!) and what is their significance? Do you regret them? Would you get more?

I don't have any tattoos, but there is one tattoo that would have meaning that I would get, but I'm not in any hurry to do it.

Nope. No desire, nothing that would really be that meaningful.

I don't. I can't think of anything, besides my family, that is meaningful enough to me. I've thought about it though.

I have 2. A honu with waves around my ankle and three sea gulls on my shoulder. The honu and waves remind me to go with the flow and the "three little birds" represent my kids and remind me that "every little thing's gonna be alright."

I also have my lip pierced.

I don't have any. I have a wicked vasovagal response with needles. There is some pretty great art out there, though.

None. I would have to be completely wasted to even try and even then, I would likely not go through with it. haha!

Currently have four, working with artists on four more!

Have: Tlingit raven back, I Ching hexagram 25 r shoulder, ampersand left chest, image from the Tower tarot card r leg

Each is somewhat important to me, represents a different part of my life. First one I got when I moved out to Seattle for six months, and found a beautiful original painting of raven that I loved. second I got with a friend I'd known for 20 years or so, he got a different hexagram. The background of the hexagram is important to me as well. Ampersand I got for my second anniversary (ampersand-themed wedding). Tower was to commemorate the porch collapse.

At least one of the four I want will probably have to wait until I'm done lawyering (knuckle tats) and/or I probably will never actually get...

Edit: don't really regret any of them, but if I had it to do over again, I'd probably think twice about the raven and I Ching since I now feel like they seem a little appropriative. I try to have the appropriate amount of respect for them, but I can't help but feel like another bro with a sweet tribal/asian tattoo...

I am so sorry, I just LOLed like crazy. That is too funny.

I like the ampersand one - that's sweet!

Nope. I've seen some well done ones, but anything that permanent weirds me out. I knew a girl who got a Texas tattooed on her ass when she turned 18. She is going to regret that when she is older.

Nope. Terrified of needles. I don't even have pierced ears!

Yes. Two. A planet with two stars on my left inner wrist. A largish sorta mean looking brightly colored octopus on my right shoulder.

We have an older thread somewhere with pics of these.

I've always wanted a red/orange squid swimming up the inside of my arm and a twig bracelet with small owls. Probably won't ever get them but still would like to.

Nope, neither does DH. About once a year he says we should both get one. But I tell him, if we made through the somewhat drunken haze of college not getting them, we're sure as hell not getting them now that we're in our 30's.

No, but I'm planning on one.
