  • A gift for friend on bed rest

    Hi all,

Do any of you have any ideas on a gift for someone on bedrest who is totally going stircrazy? A friend of ours (spouse of someone DH knows from the hospital) has been on bedrest since she was 22 weeks and now she's on week 30. I guess her bed rest limitations have been lifted somewhat, but I thought if I could find something cute, easy and inexpensive, I would give it to her tomorrow night when we all get together.

    Thanks!
    Jill

Well, I'm kind of a geek, but I like to put puzzles together. Do you think she would be at all interested in something like that? You could just go through and find a bunch of books that you have enjoyed and give her those as well. My other thoughts are sweater socks and nail polish.
    Awake is the new sleep!

Crossword puzzles also come to mind, or maybe some scrapbooking supplies so that she can make a baby album. If it were me- I think I'd kill myself so...

      Good luck-

I also like jigsaw puzzles, and trashy romance novels.

When my mom was on bed rest for some abdominal surgery, she couldn't really sit up for extended periods of time so I got her some books on tape, since she likes to read (trashy romance novels ) but physically couldn't sit up.... Anyway, they rent those things at a library so you could ask your friend if she's interested-- or maybe sitting up isn't painful for her...

I think that being on bedrest would be the only way I'll ever get to scrapbooking, let alone organizing my wedding album, so I think that's a great idea too!
