  • Flower/Wine Delivery

Does anybody know where I might be able to order a bottle of wine with a bouquet of flowers? I'm sending it to Edmond, OK. My friend miscarried, and she brought me flowers and wine when I lost my first baby, and I really want to do the same for her, even though I can't be there in person. I don't know if I just need to call local places, or if they'd even be able to do it. I guess I could talk to her husband and have him go pick some up on my behalf.

I'm not sure, but I think it is state dependent if they are allowed to deliver alcohol.

I'm pretty sure Oklahoma is one of the states you can't ship alcohol into so you'd have to have someone local do it.

I'm pretty sure it is too, I just didn't know if a local florist might be able to deliver flowers and wine as long as it wasn't shipped.

They would have to have a liquor license to sell it with the flowers.

Maybe, but Oklahoma is a pain in the ass when it comes to liquor laws. I'm sorry for her loss

Nope. Big, BIG no-no for any business to sell alcohol (delivery or not) in any state/county where they don't have a liquor license.

I used to work in the gifting industry and we ALWAYS had a problem with a few dry counties and a couple southern states with prohibitive blue laws.

I think you meant local in OK, right? I think if they are in her town, they'd be able to do it if anyone can. I'd call a nice wine shop in the town she lives in and see if they can recommend a florist that's local, too.

I did that for my sister once and just googled someone local in ID. I didn't do flowers, just wine, but I think they did both. I ended up calling the shop. My sister loved it. I think she had to be there when they delivered it though.

I'm so sorry for her loss. I can confirm wine can't be shipped in OK. The liquor stores we liked best in Edmond were Cork & Bottle (405) 341-9463 and Edmond Wine Shop +1 (405) 341-9122. You might try calling them to see if they have any ideas.
