Winter Olympics

I saw some curling at 5am today. Was on the nbc sports network, not the standard nbc. Plus - do you have that on demand Olympics option. Almost all the events are available there. I go to bed at like 830 or 9 (I know - it's absurd), so I usually watch really early in the am while I have coffee and read the news.

Did anyone notice the couple where the guy wore a burgundy shirt and a black vest and she wore a bubblegum pink dress? I couldn't handle them not matching. That's all I could see.

I've been watching curling which is sad since we keep getting our asses handed to us. 7 points in one end from Great Britain yesterday... for real?! Ugh.

Ah yes, the Americans. If her dress were the same plum color as his shirt it would've been so much easier on the eyes. The American ice dancing team Davis and White tend to have more sophisticated costumes, thank goodness.

I felt horrible for Shaun White, too. That was difficult to watch.

I've seen HOURS of curling. But, I also haven't watched anything BUT the Olympics since they started. And I wake up early to see events live. I have a problem.

I don't really like Evgeny Plushenko but I felt bad for him when he withdrew yesterday. It must have been a huge disappointment to not skate on home ice while at your last Olympics.

I feel the same way. But also such a bummer that he took someone else's spot. I guess he helped with the team medal... But still.
