Strange. Mine says Milwaukee, Sacramento, and Buffalo. My dad has folks in Milwaukee. I grew up in SoFL but my parents are from Chicago. My mom has a very thick Chicago accent. In most instances, FL was the least likely state for me.

When I took this a few months ago when it was floating around fb I got this: Overland Park, KS/Lincoln, NE/Wichita, KS. This time I got Wichita, Stockton and Reno - odd!

I love this quiz! It nailed me as well - put me right smack dab in the middle of home - Raleigh & Durham, as well as Richmond, VA (interesting!).

I got Aurora, Champaign, and Madison. This is interesting because even though I'm a Buckeye, I have strong familial and cultural roots to Kentucky and Tennessee. I guess that time in the Great North really hammered my dialect down. The majority of my family still says "warsh" , "wrastling", and "ant" for wash, wrestling, and aunt.In my dreams I run with the Kenyans.Comment

It definitely nailed the region -- central and eastern portions of the SouthEast and up the east coast through Maryland. My family is from Alabama by way of Virginia. The three cities it matched me most closely with were Richmond, Raleigh and Jacksonville FL, all further east of where I grew up but these quizzes always peg me close to the east coast which I think is pretty interesting since my family has been in Alabama for at least 5 generations on both sides.Wife of a surgical fellow; Mom to a busy toddler girl and 5 furballs (2 cats, 3 dogs)

Dialect Quiz
When I took it before it gave me Madison WI, Aurora IL, Rockford IL, which is pretty much a little triangle around my hometown.
ETA: Then I tried taking it again and giving all the NYC answers, where I lived in my 20s, and even though I felt like I was guessing a lot of the time, I did get NYC.

The questions were slightly different than the quiz that was floating on FB. I got NY, Honolulu and San Jose. I grew up in NYC but have never been to San Jose or HI.

I took this a couple of months ago and it totally nailed me. Got the three east coast cities that I have always lived near: Philly, Baltimore and NYC.
