  • What is your mission statement?

I'll have to think about this myself, but I was reading that one of the ways to take control of your personal life/family was to come up with a personal family mission statement. In the process, I guess you clarify goals but also notice all of the things that you already do to contribute to your family/personal life. I need someone to go first so that I can start seeing how others define their mission statements so that I can even come up with something. What does that say about me?

Mine would probably be along the lines of not killing children before they are capable of living on their own.

ideally it would be: don't worry, be happy.
realistically: survive through the 'bad' years without getting divorce.

You mean we have to have a mission in life? Crap.

I don't have any desire to have a formal mission. I want to do my best some of the time and adequately the rest.

Me too. It's actually getting to be pretty difficult. Aging sucks.
