    1. Reading, my cats...that's about it. Would like to add gardening back into the mix, even if it is just container gardening.
    2. Sedentary during the school year, more active during the summer.
    3. Solo activities, or maybe with one other person. I would never *choose* a large group activity.
    4. DH and I both read, but he reads "deeper" stuff than I do. I wish I enjoyed physical activity more (DH loves it and would love to someday do a triathlon) so that we could do that as a couple.
    5. We both love to travel and would love to make that our hobby in years to come...maybe in an RV for a year, who knows?

Lol Tara...I almost put the same thing! Truthfully, my hobby is my job, since that is what I have chosen to do with my free time. Still, I do wonder what I will do with myself when my kids are gone and I stop working.....

          1. What are your hobbies?
Watching tv, reading, listening to books, puzzles, helping my humane society group.

          2. Do you prefer to be active or sedentary in your free time?
Depends on the day.. If I have worked all day, sedentary in front of the TV. If its a weekend and Ive already sat for a while, I want to go DO something.

          3. Do you prefer group or solo activities in general?
Small group. I like up to 6 people to have game nights, go mini golfing, or do something entertaining.

          4. Do you share hobbies with your spouse or kids? What hobbies do you wish that you shared that you don't? Are there any hobbies that you share that you wish you didn't?
We watch a lot of TV together. We also enjoy going to see the dogs at the adoptions together. Currently we are working on buying a DSLR that we will share.

          5. What hobby would you like to take up if you had the resources (time, money, etc.)We are going to buy a DSLR. I am sure I would love lots and lots more money and time to learn everything it can possibly do and buy ALL the extra lenses and accessories to go with it. I'd also LOVE a dark room. Thats not going to happen though.

            1. What are your hobbies? Knitting, trying to learn a bit about photography, occasionally gardening, some cooking and baking, and a bit of blogging. These days I mostly have time for taking care of E.

            2. Do you prefer to be active or sedentary in your free time? Probably a mix of both

            3. Do you prefer group or solo activities in general? A good mix, although most of my stuff is solo unless you count meetups.

            4. Do you share hobbies with your spouse or kids? What hobbies do you wish that you shared that you don't? Are there any hobbies that you share that you wish you didn't? He is definitely not a knitter. He's kind of into photography too, and we'd both like to be better at it.

            5. What hobby would you like to take up if you had the resources (time, money, etc.) I'd definitely ramp up the photography - classes, lenses, accessories, etc.

              What are your hobbies?

reading, roadbike, hiking, camping, rafting if its around, wines, we're sort of craft cocktail hobbyists, love throwing parties, grilling out, and building bonfires.

              2. Do you prefer to be active or sedentary in your free time?

after work usually sedentary, otherwise active.

              3. Do you prefer group or solo activities in general?

group, though not just any group. and i do require a lot of alone time.

              4. Do you share hobbies with your spouse or kids? What hobbies do you wish that you shared that you don't? Are there any hobbies that you share that you wish you didn't?

c loves to play pool, rock climb, and garden. i hate all 3. so when we go out i either watch or play pinball. we both like the outdoors but he goes through phases of obsessively identifying birds. that slows me down. i only care about birds of prey. when he gardens i try to pretend i care. i guess i wish i liked those things.

              5. What hobby would you like to take up if you had the resources (time, money, etc.)

ive been intending to start jazz voice lessons for several months now.

                2. Do you prefer to be active or sedentary in your free time? It's weird, I can't sit still. Even while watching TV, I need to fold clothes or do something

                3. Do you prefer group or solo activities in general? Solo or small groups. Big groups take a few days to recover from

                4. Do you share hobbies with your spouse or kids? What hobbies do you wish that you shared that you don't? Are there any hobbies that you share that you wish you didn't? No, our interests are really different although he did try to fake it when we first started dating!

                  1. What are your hobbies?

I'm a hobby-aholic I enjoy photography, sewing, tea parties, yoga, painting, ceramics and I'm picking up gardening this year

                  2. Do you prefer to be active or sedentary in your free time?

Depends on the day and season. Most of the hobbies I enjoy require me to be somewhat sedentary.

                  3. Do you prefer group or solo activities in general?

I spend most of my day interacting with my kids and students so I need time alone to refill my soul.

                  4. Do you share hobbies with your spouse or kids? What hobbies do you wish that you shared that you don't? Are there any hobbies that you share that you wish you didn't?

My daughters enjoy sewing, cooking, art and ceramics. As they get older and I spend less time teaching it's become a lot of fun to work together on projects.

                  5. What hobby would you like to take up if you had the resources (time, money, etc.)

The kids are old enough to safely be outside and garden now. Until now I couldn't afford to take my eyes off anyone as we live on a busy street. We're doing some weekend gardening classes offered through local nurseries, but I'd love to start this horticulture certification program next fall.

Currently it's reading and writing on internet forums, facebook, watching shows on hulu, reading books on the tablet, reading the news, listening to music, finding new recipes to cook and try, watching movies from redbox or the dollar theater, going for walks and talking pictures, visiting with girl friends and getting pedicures together, trying new places to eat.

I would say I prefer sedentary because most of it requires sitting and only the bit about walking requires activity which is around an hour a day when my knee is better. I'm going to take aquatic aerobic classes to strengthen my knee this summer.

I'm Jane Solo or better at one-on-one. A night out dancing with friends is pretty exhausting for me unless on occasion I have an itch to get out.

We go on walks together, exercise together, go to movies together, and watch TV shows together. We go to events at the Islamic Center together and the last three Ramadan's we've fasted together. I wish we spent more time together in general because it never seems like enough when he shares all his time with his 100's of friends he has.

If we had the time and money I would really love to travel more. I want to see all 50 States with my husband and go with him to several different countries that we'd like to see together. On our list to travel together is Japan, Italy and Mexico.

                      1. What are your hobbies?

Reading, photography, travel, eating/cooking ( to me, food is an experience ), drinking and learning about wine...I actually have read a book about one grape - I know, nerd alert. I take that back, I have read two.

                      2. Do you prefer to be active or sedentary in your free time?

Half and half. I can spend a day curled up reading and enjoy it as much as a day hiking.

                      3. Do you prefer group or solo activities in general?

Depends. Growing up as an only child, I tend to entertain myself naturally. However, being an extrovert, I often look for ways to be around people. I do not do well with any team sport type of activity.

                      4. Do you share hobbies with your spouse or kids? What hobbies do you wish that you shared that you don't? Are there any hobbies that you share that you wish you didn't?

The food, travel and wine yes. What I wish DH and I shared is my love for dancing. Dance classes/going out dancing was part of my life until I married DH. He haaaaates to dance....will only do it if he has several drinks in him which is so not him. So, I spare him the hangover.

                      5. What hobby would you like to take up if you had the resources (time, money, etc.)[/QUOTE]

As soon as it is warm enough, I plan to try paddle boarding. If money were not an issue, I would like to try welding.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

                        1. What are your hobbies?
Painting, sculpture, writing, movies, TV show marathons, reading, gardening,

                        2. Do you prefer to be active or sedentary in your free time?
It depends on the time of year really. I like yard work (farm work when we're visiting family), growing fruit and veg etc. I also love curling up in front of the TV or with a good book. I tend to hibernate during the winter but want to spend all my time outdoors once spring arrives.

                        3. Do you prefer group or solo activities in general?
                        Definitely solo.

DH and I both love gardening, working on our house, movies. I wish he was more into artsy stuff. I wish I was as good at cooking as he is so we could cook together.

                        5. What hobby would you like to take up if you had the resources (time, money, etc.)
I would love to have a farmette (it's in our long-term plan) and keep horses.

I used to prefer to be active, but lately it's been a sedentary thing. I need to fix that.

                            1. What are your hobbies? - I have interests, but I am not sure I have any hobbies. I would have to say tennis and crossfit are my hobbies because that is the only free time I get. I also like to watch movies and cook, but I rarely do.

                            2. Do you prefer to be active or sedentary in your free time? 80% active, 20% sedentary

                            3. Do you prefer group or solo activities in general? Both

                            4. Do you share hobbies with your spouse or kids? What hobbies do you wish that you shared that you don't? Are there any hobbies that you share that you wish you didn't? I don't really share hobbies with anyone. DH and I like to watch movies, go to sporting events and do outdoor activities together.

                            5. What hobby would you like to take up if you had the resources (time, money, etc.) - Gardening, knitting, taking piano lessons, learning to cook. I would love to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. I have always wanted to build a house.

                              1. What are your hobbies?
                              House projects--painting, gardening, decorating
                              Cooking
I keep up with a few tv shows--Once Upon a Time, Downtown Abbey, and Call the Midwife
                              2. Do you prefer to be active or sedentary in your free time?
I have dreams of being sedentary, but it never happens. I'm lucky if I find time to watch the shows above while ironing or folding laundry

                              3. Do you prefer group or solo activities in general?
                              No preference

                              4. Do you share hobbies with your spouse or kids? What hobbies do you wish that you shared that you don't? Are there any hobbies that you share that you wish you didn't?
I cook with N. It's slow and a little painful now, but I think it will be worth it. I wish my husband shared my home improvement hobby, but outside of the desk we just built, it's all me.

                              5. What hobby would you like to take up if you had the resources (time, money, etc.)
                              Storm chasing again
                              Yoga (is that a hobby?)
Married to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.
