Nope. We only saw each other at the Christmas party and the end of the year banquet. My friends came from Sunday School. Plus, I was teaching full time at the local high school and sponsored a class all the way through. I didn't know them at all and honestly wouldn't have had time. Plus, I didn't need the support then.

There was a spouse group at the training location that kind of went tits up for lack of interest. Most of us hung out and were pretty tight, anyway, so we never really attended the spouse group crap.
