DrK just called: "So, it looks like I'm snowed under. I'll be late again. Am I missing anything urgent at home? .... You know, aside from life happening without me?"

    *sigh*

Anyone want to join the pity party?

I'm sorry. DH has one day off for the next three weeks. We don't have his schedule after that.

Mine was just called in for the fourth night in row (multiple cases each night so far). I feel terrible for him. Next week he's on call again - and that call is usually worse 😣

My hubby's gone. In the OR for the second night in a row. Tomorrow, I also do not expect to see him.

Dh told me tonight after a dinner I had to go to "I don't like feeling like the support spouse, and the side person to your career". I told him to pull his tampon out and go pick out a some big girl panties.

Dude you can't have me working making six figures and home all the time to stroke your ego.

DH missed A's end of year program today, granted it was at 2:30 in the afternoon but he had told her he would try and she was very disappointed when he didn't make it.

My husband was on call last Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Tuesday. Has research due soon so beside call nights his average time getting home has been 1030pm. Last night I went out with the first group of female friends I made after moving to the Midwest. When one of them made the comment "I don't know, maybe I'll meet a doctor" I remembered why I stopped hanging out with them. Envy me, bitches. I have the good life.

DH fired his first four patients of the day on Tuesday for drug seeking, pain contract violations, and popping positive for substances not prescribed for them. He was later called in at midnight for an emergency c-section. Last night, it was 1am that he was called in for a potential emergency c-section because baby wasn't tolerating an induction well. Still not delivered and will probably have to do it today.

He hasn't even been on-call this week yet.

FWIW, DH has started pulling filled rx histories locally, showing them to his patients, and the drug seekers are backing off big time. Word is spreading fast that he won't give you what you want, and likes to pull files.

                              Would that help T?
