  • ICE Contacts on Phone

So yesterday on their way home, my parents came across a car haphazardly pulled off the somewhat rural road they were driving on. It turned out to be a teenage girl that was having a seizure and luckily managed to get her car safely stopped in time.

As far as they know now, she is okay, but my mom was able to call her mother on her cell phone. If the girl's phone had been locked, she wouldn't have been able to. I'm sure they would have gotten ahold of her eventually, but it could have been hours later.

I realized I have an ICE contact on my phone, but no one could get to it.

So of course there is an app for that:

What a great idea! I have ICE in my phone, but I didn't think about them not being able to get to it. I guess they could use my unconscious thumb lol.

This is very smart. Also, I need to get some stickers with contact info for the girl's car seats. If something happened with our nanny and she wasn't able to communicate, it could be hours to days until someone could alert us.

Thank you for the reminder, T&S! I have some WHALE stickers (http://www.whaleprogram.org), but I haven't filled them out.

I've been meaning to get the sticker!

My Galaxy S3 has an "Emergency Call" option on the lock screen, and it has 4 emergency contacts listed there with the dial pad.

I just did this with an App called "After Photo". The one they linked in the article was no longer free.
