All I can say is that you are amazing Kris! How in the world do you find time to keep up with all this??????????

I would love a website, but I have a hard time keeping up with laundry, dishes, bottles, food making, lunch making for DW, oh yeah and the two munchkins being cleaned every few days, and Dr appts....then there is my well being...

      You amaze me Kris!!

I'm not deserving of your amazement, Matt. I searched sourceforge until I found a good web buiilding program...I saved it to my hard-drive/uploaded it to the website and voila...nothing amazing about it

It is totally easy though, Matt...you just log into the administration section and you can change all of the colors, add your text, etc. You could have your website running in an hour or even less.

If someone would like to try this out, PM what you want the website called....It is sitting on our server, so it will be at medicalspouse.com/yourname/index.php

No pop-ups, no advertising, no charge.

This is great, Kris! Once I get some things in order I think I'll set one up.
          Thanks!

            Here's another type of website:

            http://www.medicalspouse.com/sitemanwebsite/

you can logon to the admin and play around by going to

            http://www.medicalspouse.com/sitemanwebsite/admin.php
and logging in with user: siteman password: siteman

I haven't gone through the whole program yet and fixed all of the files the way they need to be.

This is a sleeker website but it is a bit more time-consuming to setup certain things for the user. It lets you do a lot more though. Either way, it's up to you guys what you want.

I'll probably be asking you about this too, Kris. I sort of started a family website (mainly so my sister could see pictures of the kids while she is in Asia) but the pictures are very grainy so I'm kind of shopping around for a website that is user-friendly and has good-quality pictures.

I don't have a problem with people posting a few pictures...here is how I'm setting my site up:

                http://www.medicalspouse.com/mathfamily

But because this would be free and because server space woudl quickly get gobbled up, people would have to limit their pictures. I don't know if that would work for everyone.

Again...let me just add that there is absolutely nothing amazing about this. It took me 5 minutes to search around on sourceforge and another 1/2 hour to install a few different programs and try them out....If I had written the code for the programs then we could all applaud 8)

Look at it this way....if I can do this, anyone can! When I first started out on the computer I didn't even know how to check my email.

Yes, I am using my digital camera...but you can also scan photos into your computer or use a picture disk.

                    Kris,

Great job on the web-building addition. Remember, if anyone wants/needs their own webhost I would be happy to host them at PokedYou.com.

                    Cheers!
