What are your addictions and vices? I am in need of a 12-step program for gummy bears. I can't help it! I love them. I bought some in the bulk aisle today because they were on sale and I have almost eaten the whole bag. This is after I ate sensibily all day and exercised.

I probably need an intervention for Diet Pepsi too.

Can anyone join me in admitting their weaknesses?

I couldn't get enough gummy bears during my first and second trimesters. Thing is, I used to really not like gummy bears and had a certain amount of disdain for them (waste of candy calories ). I like them now but I don't think I've had any for a few months.

I am sure that I'm in need of many food-related 12 step programs. But right now I think I need a 12 step program for the real estate websites. I search for houses in Portland every day. OK, more than every day. I'm not saying how often.

          Chocolate of any kind
          Snood (thanks Sally!)
Lately I've been craving sour candy like Smarties, Sprees, or Fun-Dip, but nothing chewy like Starburst

            Online puzzle games
            Peanut M&Ms
            Lemon slushies from Sonic
            All three together? Heaven.

At least the gummi bears are fat free and relatively harmless. Your body likes the protein in the gelatin they're made of--3g per serving--it's good for your hair and fingernails. I can't eat too many of those before I get a stomach ache. Haribo is a good kind, so are the ones from Germany.

I agree, Haribo is the best...Actually Aldi, grocery store sells a generic gummy bear version that is comparable. I don't kow german gummy bears, hmm wonder what they are called....

My current 12-steppers are definetely(how do you spell this word???)
              anyways....

              1. Diet pepsi, the wonderful gift from god ha ha

              2. All household cleaners, I live in germ paranoia, I think I need real help for this one, or so I have been told.

              3. yeah chocolate to, Hersheys, Lindt, Maribou, Nestle, MIlka, even the generic kind..........(anyone ever notice that diet pepsi and chocolate go really well together???)

Fresh bread warm out of the oven. Or toasted with just a bit of butter on it. Mmm, so good. I haven't even tried to fight this one, I know it would be a lost cause. When places like Panera are around, I don't have a chance.

Weaknesses of Jennifer in no particular order:

                      1) Clothing (that was a particularly tough monster to avoid during the pauper med school days).

                      2) Cookies - It doesn't matter what type (Chips Ahoy to gourmet to homemade), I want them!

                      3) Architecture and home design magazines and home plan catalogs - I had boxes of them at one point and I forced myself to throw them all away. Little good that did me since I have found myself buying these things once again. I know, I'm weird....

                      4) Chicken taquitos (just the very thought of them makes my mouth water).
Who uses a machete to cut through red tape
With fingernails that shine like justice
And a voice that is dark like tinted glass

But a good one! I love them too, and am going to buy another pair for this summer. I made a promise to myself when I got married that I was never, ever, going to wear uncomfortable shoes again, and I've kept it. (And having a short husband keeps me off the stilettos anyway!) I just bought a pair of Think! clogs (an Austrian Birke competitor) with red toes and pre-Raphaelite angels on them--saw them in Nordstrom, but got them cheaper online.

The sordid list of my addictions:

Food: sushi, milk chocolate, my grandma's red velvet cake, milk chocolate, fine coffee, milk chocolate, German wheat beer, milk chocolate, good white wine or champagne, milk chocolate, real crusty french bread with melted brie cheese, milk chocolate, shell fish, milk chocolate

Hobbies: I get a little OCD about running, jewelry making, trivia games, and this website.
