  • Can't Wait!

We are going to Chicago this weekend to celebrate DH's birthday! I can't wait because this will be our first trip together in two years that wasn't job search related. My mom is coming to watch the girls. Wow an entire nights sleep for a change. We need this so badly. I am nervous about leaving the baby, but I think she will be okay.

We won't be that far away.

anyone else doing anything fun this weekend?

    Nothing that fun!
Sounds great, Jennifer. I hope you have a fantastic time. You will feel so refreshed getting a full night's sleep. I'm a little jealous.

We're just doing the usual Sat am music class and work around the house to get it ready to sell. It might snow so maybe we'll play in the snow on Sun.

    Have fun this weekend!!

      I'm a little jealous too.

What are you guys going to do while there? See any sights, eat out at a special place?

We're going to *attempt* to go on our old 6-mile hike, with baby in the baby bjorn. Kevin's going to have to wear him. I'll never make it. We're also going to drive around and look at various plots of land that are for sale in the desired school district. We want to build in 5 years. Can't wait!!

Ooh, and Kevin is going to do ALL the nightime feedings on Friday night and I'll sleep in the guest room. YAY!!!

Have a great time and tell us how it was.

Lucky you! My breasts would never allow it.

LOL, I pump 95% of the time so I've got the boobies trained to sleep through the night and give me all that I need during the day. (breast milk can sit out for 10 hours at room temp so I just leave bottles at the cribside for DH).

          (more tmi )

That sounds like a great getaway!

We're headed to Rochester, MN to buy a house, we hope! We're leaving tomorrow and we'll be there until March 7th, luckily the weather forecast calls for high 30's-low 40's while we're there!

Have tons of fun in Chicago!

              Jennifer,

Have a great time in Chicago! I'm sure your trip will be wonderful, and that you will have peace of mind with your mom watching your little ones.

              And good luck, Cheri!

Have a great time--it is so important to get away with just your husband sometimes!!! Chicago is such a fun city! I'll bet your mom has a great time with her grandbabies all to herself (I know in our case, my parents and in-laws love it when we leave the kids with them--which we have found ourselves doing quite liberally in the last year!).
Have fun both Jennifers, and good luck finding a house Cheri! That sounds pretty exciting as well!
We are going to the exciting town of Wichita, KS this weekend! We leave as soon as my dh gets off work--we're going to see my sister and bil (who turns 9 years old on his leap year birthday on Sunday) and we are going to the Equi-Fest, which is a horse festival of some sort. I'm really looking forward to seeing my sister (even though she lives only 3 hours away I haven't seen her since Christmas!).
                  Awake is the new sleep!

                    Jenn -
WOW!!! Congrats on your trip - I am so jealous!!! We got to take a trip to Chicago last October, and we LOVED IT!!! That whole night sleep is so priceless - you are going to be so rested, you won't know what to do with all of your energy... (hmmm, then again, with no children in the room, you may find a few things to do... ).
No big weekend plans here... dh is working the whole time. As for me, I am just trying to keep my sanity with toddlers locked in the house with the freezing cold outside while we ANXIOUSLY await MATCH DAY!!
Have EXTRA fun for us!!! I am so jealous!!

                    Jen B.

Have fun everybody! I am jealous of the people going to Chicago.....take scarves.....the wind could be a killer.

Boring weekend ahead here. I am sure there will be laundry involved....it is rare that a day goes by around here without laundry being involved! My oldest son has his first swim meet tomorrow morning in the metroplex (Dallas-Ft. Worth) so he and DH are heading down there tonight to stay all night and will be back mid-afternoon tomorrow. Maybe we will go out to eat or order pizza Saturday night.....church Sunday and that's it.

I want a full report about Chicago....anything you think is proper to share, that is!

We are going to the RV show! Woo-hoo!! How fun is THAT!?!

Can't beat Chicago, I am sure, but it will be cheaper!...as long as we don't buy something!

Sally, you've got to try Fuddrucker's when you're in Dallas. The kids would love it, too!
