It really depends on the circumstances. If I didn't have to worry about bills or my offspring, I would do it. Longterm, it will pay off anyway and you'll do the job that you always wanted to.

I turned down the local job without any agreement with the Australian job.
I turned down the real offer to help for free with the coordination between two hospitals.
Yeah, that is way crazy.
But I currently have a job and plenty of outstanding offers to work in the financial field. I'm employed with a job that gets me home at 4:30 every day.
Australia starts at 6:00 PM and I'm totally happy to help them out for free.
One reason is I'm the spouse of an ED Doc. and we all know that means I have lots of time on my hands by myself.
