  • Anyone know about Mayo Plastics Program?

Hubby is in the middle of match process for Plastic's Residency. Looking like Mayo, Loyola in Chicago or Illinois. From what I have seen/read I really like the looks of the Mayo Program for a multitude of reasons - nice area to live, great schools, family oriented, close-knit community, et al.

Anyone live in Rochester? Have any experience with the program? Know how easy it is to find employment there?

Any information would be greatly appreciate!

    Adrienne,
I don't know anything about the plastics program and I don't know a lot about Rochester but my husband and I just got back from spending a week there. Its a great little town, we are very excited to be moving there in June. We bought a house in about 4 days, there are great ones to choose from in a great price range and there are a lot of programs based through Mayo for spouses and families.

Good luck - we are very happy to have matched there and look forward to living in Minnesota!

I didn't address the job thing - I have my MBA and I've been looking, there isn't a lot to choose from but there are options. Right now I'm not looking very hard because the positions that are open now want people that can start before June. It's not Minneapolis and it's not close enough to commute there but I think there are options!

Congratulations and good luck. We may very well be joining you in a year. Summer 2005. I too have an MBA and work as a management consultant. Maybe you will have a job for me then!!!

        Thanks for the info.
