  • Grocery Shopping

I'm sick of it. To keep this family in food I find myself in the store at least twice a week....heading up and down the aisles ... schlepping groceries to my car and then from the car into the kitchen. I'm worn out before I ever put them away. I have grown to hate grocery shopping.

This morning I got up and went to the fridge for milk and discovered (surprise) that it was empty again ... no milk, lunch meat, cheese, yogurt ... nothing.

I decided this all called for drastic measures. I got out my computer, signed up for Coborn's Delivers (my grocery store), browsed the virtual aisles while I sipped on a cup of coffee and then made my order. They will deliver between 4-6 today. They will even carry my delivery into my kitchen for me.

If this works out today, I plan on making regular trips to the grocery store a thing of the past.

Oh, hell yes on the delivery! If that existed here, I'd be ALL over it. I hate grocery shopping.

I'm to the point where I figure that if I shop and shlep the shit home, the kids can damn well unload the car and put all their shit away.

When the boys are home, I have them trained to come and help me carry crap in, but Andrew is working 11am-11pm lately. Alex is often out with his friends. He does it when he's home though. I just find myself stuck with the job too often.

Me too! They have it in the next town over, but don't come out this far. I am hoping they will soon!

Jealous! I mostly hate the grocery store, although when I can go while hubby stays home with E, sometimes it's nice. I have to have a list and go through the aisles from one side to the other once though. Any deviation from the plan makes me crazy, even as much as where I park and on which side I enter. Sometimes hubby will come with me, and it makes me absolutely crazy.

I have an app that sorts my grocery list by aisle...
