Um, no thanks. I didn't even want the AngelCare monitor thing. I just want to be able to hear if she wakes up and look in the room to see if she's OK, or if I need to actually get up and go in there.Allison - professor; wife to a urology attending; mom to baby girl E (11/13), baby boy C (2/16), and a spoiled cat; knitter and hoarder of yarn; photographer

Holy crap. No thanks. Your job as a parent is to figure out what the baby needs, not have a device do it for you. But I guess that is what people want.
I thought this line was rich:
The company also suggests that by having this level of information, parents won't have to completely change their lives, but can instead integrate babies into their existing lives.
If this a direct quote from the company, then I will never buy a product from them. They clearly don't get it. If this is the author paraphrasing, then it's obvious they have never had to care for anything. Children are supposed to change your lives! I know they are already changing mine and they aren't even here yet.Event coordinator, wife and therapist to a peds attending
