  • What are your goals this week?

It's Monday .... so what's in store for your week? What do you have planned?

My classes start tomorrow morning. I'm so not ready. I need a few more months of summer! In any case, I have to be in the Cities for a 9am class tomorrow and a 5:30 pm class Wed. Fortunately, the littles haven't started back to school yet so organizationally that's one less worry.

We went ahead and rented the dumpster because it was 40% less than the online quote. It comes Thursday. I already started cleaning out closets/storage areas in the house and carrying stuff to the garage. That will be my "fun" activity to do this week. DH and I plan to take apart broken beds this weekend to fill the dumpster. Public Service announcement: Do not buy ikea. We are throwing away two broken idea beds and a broken idea dresser. Waste.

To not kill my children before school starts next week. I know my feelings are very unmotherly, but I've had enough of them for one summer. I feel like I can't even set a goal because I'm constantly feeding kids, cleaning messes and breaking up squabbles. Save me.

To get my son's schedule sorted out. AP Spanish is not going well due to a hearing issue. Ryan is unilaterally deaf and cannot hear his teacher. It's not going well.

Get up and running and doing well in my classes.

Ladybug, I hear you. Are you working again or will you finally have time to get settled in the new place? (I thought I remembered that you weren't..)

My goal is to not have a breakdown. I start school tomorrow and my house is filled with unfinished projects. I'd like to finish decluttering the upstairs as my home goal.

                OMG. ME TOO!!!! ThursdayThursdayThursday..

I need to get back on track with my daily walks, the gym and riding my horse. I've been slacking and I feel like crap. I was in great shape the beginning of summer. But with the kids home...priorities shift. No exercise for me!

To make it through my first 3.5 days back in the office.

To be okay when I come home from work on Wed and Thurs and DH isn't here (he will be home after I go to bed). And same with when he leaves on Fri to work overnight.

To enjoy watching my sister move into my old dorm on Thurs (and not kill my dad, stepmom or brother).

Love the dress! I'd stick with a nude shoe like the model is wearing, I think it looks great with that dress.

Just trying to make it through. This week will be rocky because we are sorting out the back to school routine.

Today, we skipped "visit day" at School No. 1 because there was no way I could be in both the boys' classrooms at once, no way I could leave either of them in their classrooms without me, and no way I could take the whole crew to both classrooms without causing a big disruption. I just didn't want to deal with potential melt downs and mean mommies. K1 went to School No. 2 this afternoon and I've spent most of the day trying to get organized for tomorrow, rescheduling appointments, e-mailing teachers regarding pick up times, and the like. Also have a telephone conference with a mortgage broker tonight so everybody keep their fingers crossed.

Tomorrow the boys will be at School No. 1 from 9-11. Then I pick them both up for lunch and drop K1 at School No. 2 at 11:50 (early drop off); Then I pick him up again at 1:45. Lunch will probably be a bagged lunch that we eat in the lobby of School No. 2. They have a nice area with tables and chairs in their lobby so I'm hoping that will work out as our transition place for the school year. After school, I'm getting the boys' hair cuts. I have a friend who cuts their hair at her house. She has 2 boys and a girl spaced just like mine but each 2 years older. She's fitting the haircuts in between picking her boys up from school and taking them to soccer.

Wednesday, K1 is at School No. 1 from 9-11:30. Then lunch with me before 12:30 drop off at School No. 2. K2 will be at School No. 1 from 9-2:30. (I hope. Still haven't heard about their afternoon program. If not, he'll be picked up at 11:30 also.) Then pick up K1 at 2:45 and take him to OT from 3:30-4. I have a 1:15 doctor appointment during the boys afternoon sessions. Later that night, I have moms' night out with some girlfriends assuming that DrK gets home by 7.

Thursday, K1 at School No. 1 from 9-11:30. Then lunch with me before 12:30 drop off at School No. 2. K2 at School No. 1 from 9-3ish, then pick up K1 at School No. 2 at 3:20. I have a 1pm doctor's appointment during the boys' afternoon session (getting caught up with all my docs). Gotta go grocery shopping too.

Friday, both boys at School No. 1 from 9-12:30. I have to tag a bunch of stuff for a consignment sale that I just realized is the same weekend that the ILKs are in town. DrK is on call all weekend and none of my sitters are available.

                      Wednesday.

It seriously hurts my brain to even think about your schedule MrsK! Good luck!!

My goals for the week...stay sane with crying baby long enough each day to make it to the hour when DH gets home and can hold him for 5 minutes before going off to read.

Still adjusting to MS1. DH starts his MS in Anatomy class this week (on top of MD-- I'm trying not to think about it). He is very busy so I made plans with other MS1 wives for ice cream and another friend for yoga. We are driving 8 hours to see DH's extended family this weekend. Need to plan food, pack and take car in to get brakes looked at.

I'll be cleaning the house tonight, shopping for a new interview dress & cardigan tomorrow, and nailing my second interview on Friday. Other than that I'll be getting us in order to head to the beach on Friday afternoon.

I have the day off on Friday save for the interview, and DH will be taking his FM shelf exam which should be over by 11. Hoping to be on the road to the beach by 1 - 2. Not a bad consolation weekend after having to back out of Napa. I'm excited about this interview!

                              1) not kill my in laws this weekend
                              2) figure out how to make corn tortillas from scratch (bc they're all crap from stores). Tortilla press? By hand? Unclear.
