Confession: I'm supposed to be working right now and I'm sitting on the couch playing online and watching Friends reruns. My neck hurts and I'm tired and I just don't feel like it. And I'm hungry but there's nothing here I want to eat so I'm also grumpily scanning recipes on pinterest torturing myself by wishing this stuff would just appear in front of me without me having to put forth effort. Lazy bones, party of one.

LOL, I don't feel like I've taken advantage of this excuse enough lately. That's a totally legitimate reason to only be able to claim one accomplishment for the day, and that was getting clothes into the washer, right??

ETA: I just looked at my to-do list for the day. Two items on there were phone calls which doesn't involve me having to get up so I did both of those. Now there's three items checked off the list! haha

Oh yay! A meeting invite for one of those "Mandatory in 10 minutes" meetings. The outcome of these in the past.

          1. New manager (3 times)
          2. Someone died
          3. People were getting layed off

Oh boy. Hopefully this time it's option number 4 - upcoming holiday bonuses!

We have a winner! New manager! This will be #4 since starting in 2010.

I think the front runner for the position would be our team lead, which makes me have mixed feelings. She is amazing but also a close friend and she knows wayyyyy too much about me

It is soooo much easier to navigate the schooling system now that I'm older. Yay for just knowing what your child needs and going for it vs over analyzing and stressing
You're part time homeschooling??? I may need a phone call with you. P is an effing nightmare when he gets home from K each day, bec of no nap or playtime. I have never seen him like this ever! It's insane.

Yikes! I'm so glad you posted an update. When I first read this, I thought you were saying that you had a meeting at work and all three of these things had happened. I was about to insist you open a separate thread in careers so we could hash this one out!

They go outside, but no real imaginative playtime in class. My older son's class had a whole section with a kitchen, play clothes, etc. I did not see one toy in P's class. Not one.

Today I had 15 things on my to-do list. I got it down to 6. Busy day, and I'm tired, but a lot of it is preparation for Oktoberfest weekend with our best friends (kid free!), so it's totally worth it! Also I have tomorrow morning kid-free, so I should be able to get most of the rest of it done pretty quickly.

I finally had some time to start Nugget's baby book! Did I mention I got him to bed at 7:30 (usually more like 9:30-10:00)? There is a chance I'll be up and running at 5 am due to this though...

I just made hubby get out of bed to prepare E's lunch for tomorrow, because I'll be up for at least another hour finishing up my lecture for my class, and then I have to go work tomorrow, and he's still on vacation.
