For me, it's all about keeping lots of people happy at once.

"Let's share the love" and "we want peace and happiness in the village" are common lines between me and my coworker. It's amazing how much squabbling grown ups can do over little things.

My husband'a line at the end of practically every phone call is "{any medical plan at all}.and we'll go from there!"

What I hear in my classroom:
      What are we doing today?
(It is always, *always*, on the board)
      My folder isn't there.
      I can't find my folder.

What I say too often in my classroom:
      Self-control, please.
      Ladies and gentlemen....
      Check your posture.
      Tall mouths, please.
      Where should you be looking?
      Sit tall.
      What is a tall mouth?

Creating as much space inside the mouth as possible leads to better tone quality, and this requires the soft palate to arch (occurs naturally when you yawn). "Tall mouths" is shorthand to remind the kids to go for a yawny space/vertical space, rather than a horizontal grimace face. 😁😜

These are my two as well! As others mentioned, I would add "low hanging fruit." Fortunately I haven't had to work at an office for years. When I did, I would make a conscious effort not to use any of these worn out phrases.

I have never heard most of these. I think I just say trust me and get back to work. Ha
