"Just For Today" megathread. Post little announcements, petty rants, small victories, and superficial confessions here for one day only. But please please please consider opening new threads too. We nosy chickens want to read all the details and talk everything over ad nauseum too.

Errrr. I basically don't keep processed carbs in the house because I will eat them. We usually just have frozen Ezekiel bread for DH's lunch, some TJs peanut butter bars / also for his lunch, and his cereal. (I know, I hate him. He has a great metabolism). The past two days - out of no where - I've had like two handfuls of his ancient grains. It's so good. My god, I'd forgotten how amazing it was.

It's also so so not good for you. Now I hate knowing it's sitting up there in The cabinet!!!!

(This may not seem like a big deal to some of you, but I'll probably gain 4lbs from those 4 handfuls!).

Er...sounds like it doesn't fit *your* metabolism or your preferred way to eat. But not good for you? It's not poison, crack, or candy.

Good luck avoiding it! It's tough sharing a household with someone who eats totally differently than you do.

I need to lose weight before it becomes a bigger issue. I know how just don't want to do what it takes. Ughhh. Basically, I just need to eat...eat those f-ing 5 little meals a day. I have now been up for three hours. Don't feel like messing up my kitchen or stop doing what I am doing to prepare a healthy meal for myself. Soooo, I am running on cofee and one TJs buttery palmier. Yeah, I just shot my metabolism to hell.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

This is me. Every day. Coffee for breakfast, maybe a little something at lunchtime, then ravenous by 3pm. My doctor also says that I should be doing my cardio first thing in the morning. Yeah....riiiiiiight.

My rant of the day....my parents asked if they could come stay here for a couple of nights. I know, it's not a huge deal but our place is so freaking small. We will have to move the futon out of the sunroom (it can't open up to be slept on in there) and into the office and move all the stuff in the office into the sunroom. And we only have one bathroom with one very small vanity. We really don't have the space for guests to stay here but how do you say no to parents? Especially when they'll say they don't mind sleeping in a room without a door or on a folded up futon. Ugh

out late with friends. rehearsal soon and then teaching. I planned to make it to the laundromat, grocery store, learn a new movement of my duo, and do a big clean of the house this weekend but I'm not sure any of that will get done. but! I did finish WCI book and start reading a book on filing taxes as sole proprietorship.

Well right. It's not good for me, mostly. And it's one of those things that I won't crave if I don't eat it, but once I taste it.....

BUT i did at handstand at yoga today for the first time in a LONG time!!! Very proud of myself. ☺️

You've got time! Good to realize it now! Where are you going?

I had this dream like two months ago of losing 5lbs before our vacation - which is happening Friday.... Did not happen. No swimsuit involved, but I did just have to drop some cash on some new things, because dear god some of my old favorites are just a tiny bit too tight. I used to be so thin 😳. Oh well.

Oh - I actually don't jump back into plank anymore either. I did this cardio barre class for a few years, lots of barefoot burpees. I now have an avascular necrosis of my sesmoid bone (so it's just dead). It hurts like a b*tch when aggravated.... So no more jumping back on my toes - ever, ever again!

The instructor was spotting me, but I still got up on my own. I was thrilled.

I actually don't really f around with head stands either. They really make me nervous.

ever since the first time I flew in crow my right wrist has given me trouble. I had pain on and off for weeks after it and had to just slow down the classes.now it doesn't hurt so much but it cracks and never has before! I reallylikethe studio i go to so I'd rather just watch everyone's fancy inversions than give myself a permanent injury. congrats to you, though! maybe one day I'll get there.

actually, for some reason this is a little similar in my mind. once i able to lose this weigh I think it will be easier todo a lot of this stuff. and then I want to take break dancing lessons.

Well, to be honest... The gym/little workout studio thing I go to has also been really focused on handstand development the past three weeks.... So it's not like I just went to yoga (because I've only been back at it for about a month), and just flew up into one. Basically have been "prepping" for them every day this month.

But it don't think there is any reason to rush it, because... Yeah, those permanent injuries SUCK!
