The "Just For Today" megathread. Post little announcements, petty rants, small victories, and superficial confessions here for one day only. But please please please consider opening new threads too. We nosy chickens want to read all the details and talk everything over ad nauseum too.

Bed at 11, baby awake at 1:30, 2:30, woke up to catch flight to Chicago at 3:30. My eyelids are sticking when I blink. Pretty sure that's not optimal functioning.

I'm tired and overwhelmed. I might have bit off more than I can chew. I woke up early this morning so I could get off to the gym and have time to learn some music before work. But I'm so overwhelmed / stressed here I am on the couch feeling more and more anxious and wanting to go back to sleep for a couple hours. I may have crammed my teaching schedule too full. That alone is OK but I have a couple performance projects this coming month with no time / energy to practice. What free time I have I'm having to fill up with rehearsals, then I go and sound like ass because I haven't had a chance to look at the music since the last rehearsal. It's so bad husband has been cleaning more than me. Sigh.

IRB withdrew my study because one of my co-investigators (my mentor) didn't complete his conflict of interest reporting in time. The people at the IRB office got all pissy with me when I tried to call them and ask questions. Great customer service there, and way to start off my morning.

55* here this morning too, it was chilly!!

Shitty part is I think I'm getting sick, or at least I'm being bothered by the temperature/weather changes (that's a thing, right?). I've sneezing non stop and feeling a bit stuffy. Also, so tired. So, so tired.

Me too! I almost feel like it might be a (somewhat) late season allergy. I had been feeling really good when my DH's were really flaring up, and now I've had this mild cold/draggy feeling for the last week and a half.

And it was 41 here this morning when I woke up!!! That's fine, I just want to find some way to stop it here before it gets worse!

My mother told my daughter, "homeschooling can make you fat".

This 16 day visit is about 10 days too long...

So many raves today! Perfect fall weather here, and the in laws left this morning. I'm really enjoying how quiet and calm my house is again.

I had a great interview at emma Willard today for a per diem nursing position! This campus was unlike anything I've ever seen in my life. Fingers crossed!!

Dh and I had a lunch date 😊

A few weeks ago something was up with my breaks. I just had breaks/rotors put on in June. They were warrantied. So, today, I got replacements. Yay! And a new caliper. I picked up and bought my winter tires today. My tires are 22". They're freaking huge. Because my mechanic loves me, I got them at cost. I saved $320. Another Yay!
