  • Send the driving mojo

Amanda has her driving test Thursday at 11am (cst). Her check engine light went on last week and we took it in asap. The mechanic had it for 4 days (all weekend). She had been practicing parallel parking like crazy before that.
Monday, the mechanic called and said she has an air leak that will take him awhile to dx and fix. He turned the check engine light off and let us pick it up. His advice? If it comes on again come in at 10am before the test and let him turn it off again. Ugh. What a nail biter.

She is back to practicing parallel parking 3-4 hours daily. Um. Yah. Today is better than yesterday (I'm typing as she is parking) but she lost her mojo. Yesterday was a day of tears. Today is a step up.

Unfortunately, I stink as a drivers ed teacher. I can't help amanda get better with her parallel parking. I can only sit with her while she tries over and over again.

Send mojo, juju, luck .... we need it all. Start early and keep sending until Thursday at 11.

      Juju coming over!!

We didn't have to parallel when I took the test here and as a result I couldn't parallel park until last year when somebody finally told me how...13 years later. Lol.

I actually just had to relearn to parallel park last year too. Lots of years with no driving, then living in a city with huge parking lots and free valet everywhere.

I think I would have a harder time with cones/barrel things they had on the drivers test. Somehow it's just so much easier when you have the front car to line up with.

        Good luck!

How'd it go?! I hope all went well!!

I'm not even sure if our kiddos can parallel park tbh. They learned in driving school and didn't have to do the test at the MVD but that is a very low pressure environment in comparison.

Good luck!! I still suck at parallel parking, even with the backup camera. I got lucky for my test because I just had one car to park behind, but none in the space behind mine.

                Test is today.
She had a dream they were making her parallel park a toilet for her test!

I really never had to PP, until I lived on LA. It became an essential skill.
