Kohl's SALE!

OK...I didn't think it could get any better than the Kohl's $5/clearance last week. I went in and bought my brother 4 shirts for his birthday next, 4 matching ties, a pair of dress slacks and a suede leather jacket (very, very nice!). All in all, I paid under $50 for things that were originally priced at over $300 total! (All shirts $35 originally, pants originally $42, jacket originally $100!) I was so excited that I also went and bought myself 4 nice outfits...skirts originally 40-50$ that were lined with matching jackets....$5...unflippin believable!!! In total, I spent $120 on both he and I and came out with very, very nice stuff!

But I went in this weekend and would you believe that it is now 50% off of their 5.00? So...I bought my brother a couple of nice sweaters for christmas at $2.50 a pop (originally more than $30) and a funny christmas tie for $1.50.

I'm cheap...I know....

But today I'm going to shop for christmas gifts for the rest of the family....

Does this officially make me a cheapskate?

Is that at all of the Kohls, or just the one in your city? I'm so bummed, I just drove by our Kohls on the way home, but if they are having a clearance like that here, it's worth loading up the kids and heading out there!!

Wow Kris--if I had it together enough, I'd go shopping for Christmas too! I admire you guys that are thinking about it at this time of the year, and I don't think it makes you a cheapskate! Their stuff is good quality, so who cares if you got it at rock-bottom prices!

OK...UPDATE. I bought all of the presents for my stepmom and dad...for $13.00. They were:

1. silk and cotton sweater for my dad: Original Price $50...I paid 2.50!
2. Isotoner leather gloves lined with fleece for my dad: I paid 3.50
3. Christmas tie (musical/silk): I paid 1.50
4. Christmas turtleneck for stepmom: Original price $18.00 I paid 1.50
5. Nice dress turtleneck for stepmom: Original price $18.50 I paid 1.50
6. Nice sweater Jacket for stepmom: Original Price $35.oo I paid 2.50


Holy COW! I'm such a cheapskate and I'm so proud of myself! Honestly, this is really nice stuff....I had to dig for 2 hours to find these things...but it was so worth it. The lady behind me in line looked curiously at the christmas-themed things and so I told her what I was doing...she got so excited that she said "what a great idea" and got out of line to go and buy some x-mas presents too!
