  • Employee baby gift

What's an appropriate baby gift for an employee I supervise? I don't know her that well -- because we all work remotely, we've actually never met in person, and I don't know if she's registered anywhere... It's a boy, and she has an older boy. Has to be easy to mail. Gift card? To where? Any other ideas?

As long as there is a Target nearby, a gift card is always useful.

I've had an editor (remote/ never met in person) look up my registry online and mail me something from there. I've also had an editor send me an Amazon gift card online for Christmas (no address needed).

I can't find a registry in any of the usual places, and I'm guessing she probably doesn't have one since this is her second boy, and not spaced very far apart. Guess I'll probably go with something like Target.

I'd probably do a gift card too. I have a bunch of friends having their 2nd or 3rd babies, and we're having sprinkles for them (small showers), and mostly I'm just giving them diapers and wipes unless I know there's something else they need, or if I know they're cloth diapering.
