What's an appropriate baby gift for an employee I supervise? I don't know her that well -- because we all work remotely, we've actually never met in person, and I don't know if she's registered anywhere... It's a boy, and she has an older boy. Has to be easy to mail. Gift card? To where? Any other ideas?

I'd probably do a gift card too. I have a bunch of friends having their 2nd or 3rd babies, and we're having sprinkles for them (small showers), and mostly I'm just giving them diapers and wipes unless I know there's something else they need, or if I know they're cloth diapering.Allison - professor; wife to a urology attending; mom to baby girl E (11/13), baby boy C (2/16), and a spoiled cat; knitter and hoarder of yarn; photographer
