  • iPhone 6

I'm calling on the collective wisdom of iMSN.

DH and I both have Samsung Android phones. We left iPhone back at iPhone 3 because we were unhappy with a lot of things (none of which we remember). Currently, we have no issue with our Android phone, but our service is awful. If I'm at home and someone calls me, I literally have to walk all over the house saying "can you here me now" and other explicatives that might start with F. I'll find a sweet spot and the call will be okay for a couple of minutes and then I'll have to move again. I have to make all phone calls in the garage in my van. DH constantly gets disconnected at work.

So we're switching phone service providers at the end of October when our phones are paid off.

Of course we can't use our phones with this provider. :/ Wth, why do they do that?

DH is thinking of returning to Apple and getting an iPhone 6.

What do you hear about the 6?
If you're a happy android user, what arguments can I use with my dh to keep my android? LOL

I've had my 6 for just over a week and also love it. I honestly just don't think you can beat a lot of what Apple has to offer so that's why I remain faithful. I love the size and weight of this one.

Hubby loves his iPhone 6. I love my Samsung Galaxy S5. Android is a whole lot more intuitive for me.

We want the higher memory content, and I hear that it's the one that's really hard to palm in one hand (size)/bends.

Even in a case, I need a more indestructible phone, so I'll be waiting for the "revamp" that irons out the kinks (hopefully!)

I have a 5 (DH has a 5s), and I drop mine all the time. No problems!

The iPhone 6 is like getting a 3-year old Android in terms of features. I don't understand how people waited so long for swipe keyboards, etc. They're not built as solidly as many androids or previous iPhones. I know not everyone cares that much about getting the latest features, but it's a lot to spend on outdated technology! I probably need to stop looking at threads about Apple products, they just make me think everyone is nuts.

I just hate android. I hate everything about it. I'd rather have a candy bar Nokia than an android.

My sister is happy with her 6, though she does think it's too big (and she has the smaller one).

When I switched from Android to iPhone (a long time ago), it was because of stability. The Android I had was SO ridiculously buggy. My understanding is that this is less of an issue now. I think if you buy the top of the line, they're going to be about the same.

I don't have a 6 but I have a major headache from dealing with an hp laptop that turns me off (again) of PCs for ever and ever. So I'm in Apple land and I'll stay there. Still keeping PCs around to keep me thankful for my Mac tho.

To people who said it, what about the 6 do you "love"?

I have a Blackberry hehehehehehehe - I love it, physical keyboard and the OS is more thought out and fluid. I've had android, apple and windows products and like Blackberry best.

DH and I got ours the day they came out. We were planning on switching services and T-Mobile bought out our old plans and since the cost of the phone is split up over 2 years (but we can pay off at any time), we didn't have to pay anything up front. So far we've been really happy with both the phones and the service.

I thought I would hate it being so big, but I've really come to love the extra screen space. It makes it a lot easier for me to work on the go. Some of the apps I use for work are only available for Apple, so staying with an iPhone was really a no-brainer. Here's a quick pro-con list of the 6:

                      Pros:
                      Love the bigger screen space
Still fits in my pocket (I didn't think it would)
Even with my small hands, I can still use it one-handed
Screen is beautiful and easy to read on
                      Camera takes gorgeous pics
I really like iOS 8, although this is also available on earlier iPhones.
Speaker phone works better on this phone than any I've had before
                      Charges really fast
Best phone I've ever had for working on the go

                      Cons:
A few weird bugs pop up from time to time that are still being worked out
The curved display makes it extra tricky to put on a screen protector, if that's important to you
The keyboard seems a little clunkier. Not sure why. I feel like I make a lot more typos.
Camera sticks out a little in the back (but if you have a case, it's not really a big deal)
