Good luck today with your new job! Sending you strength, confidence and love. You're an asset and they are fortunate to have you on board.

Keep us posted on the ceiling leak. If it dries out will you be able to kiltz spray it? We had a leak/rip out/replacement in our basement. When working on our leaking shower some water leaked through the roof, but was able to be patched/painted. Fingers crossed for the latter scenario.

Holy crap y'all!! Thank you! I'm just now seeing this, made a great first day even better! I really appreciate all the good thoughts. I may be jumping the gun but I loooooove this job! Well maybe it's way too early to say that but I definitely love the people, the environment of the department, and the things required and expected of me. I'm sure I'll have shitty days but I'm really thankful that I'm here.

And weirdly that's not even the best news today. We finally got coopers (our lab) allergy bloodwork back and turns out he's HIGHLY allergic to basically all the plants and grasses that grow in va. No flea, mite, or mold allergies and less than 5% of his issues are food related though we did find out that he's allergic to rice, potatoes, green beans, soy, and peanuts. The vet said this a a really easy allergy panel to manage. Well start desensitizing injections asap coupled with a brief low dose of steroids for a couple weeks. Once he's desensitized well only do one injection a month. I actually cried when DH told me this bc it sounds like we really have a chance to better his quality of life and ours too by extension. No more yeast infections or red inflamed skin or raw neck from scratching.
