Name: oceanchild comes from the Beatles song Julia, which is my first name.

      Living: Colorado

Training: DH is a PGY-6, and this is his last year of fellowship.

Family: We have a 1-year-old who is very sweet and smart but, like most toddlers, prone to crises over nothing ("my cracker broke in half! fix it!").
Julia - legislative process lover and general government nerd, married to a PICU & Medical Ethics attending, raising a toddler son and expecting a baby daughter Oct '16.

MedPedSpouse - because the utter JOY of doing both IM & Peds residencies cannot be forgotten...especially when you later choose to sub-specialize and only work with adults. No, not bitter at all about all the time spent on peds.

In TX - finally no longer living in podunkville.

Attending, 7 years out of training

No human kids - just canines that should be allowed to be tax deductions because they sure can drain a bank account with their tomfoolery. New trick...digging by the fence after some sort of rodent and getting your paw cut. Then, running in the house and spazzing out, flinging blood all over the place.
Finally - we are finished with training! Hello real world!!

1- BonBon, because I had just finished Chocolate School (seriously, it's a thing. There's food chemistry involved!) and because duh, I'm a doctor's wife. It's all about the champagne and bonbons. (My previous username I ended up using for my daughter...a very unusual name which would identify me immediately)

            2- Upstate NY

            3- Anesthesia attending since 2000

            4- DS10, DD8, DD8, DD8. Four cats: 15M, 15F, 9F, 4M.

Can we do a quick roll call?

I've been MIA for a while, mostly just lurking. Life got busy!

              1. I'm LadyFoot because my husband's a podiatrist. Everything is feet and ankles around here.

              2. Born and raised and (as if the start of residency) BACK in Ohio.

              3. PGY-1 foot and ankle surgery resident who is *almost* done with his 4 months of completely hellish gen surg rotations.

              4. Two fur kids (a black fluffy cat and a black not-as-fluffy cat) and a human LittleFoot on the way in March. One week until we find out if it's a boy or girl!

Haha! No, but he does have some friends who are there. Does sound like an invigorating Saturday morning... Actually, DH is supposed to be rounding and coming home this morning, but I was just looking for a photo in our shared photo stream and saw some, uh, beautiful foot photos that just uploaded. Something interesting must have come up. Ew.

                            1) WolfpackWife, aka WPW. I think some of you know my real name via FB or PM. WolfpackWife because my husband is an alumnus of the large university from my hometown (I was raised a rabid Wolfpack fan growing up - half our family went to that school, the other half went to the school I graduated from). I know, I know - kind of not staying true to my *own* school, but it was sort of an homage to a) home and b) my husband. I don't know, whatever!
                            2) VA
                            3) Almost halfway through MS-3 - LESS THAN A YEAR AND A HALF TIL MATCH DAY!
                            4) No kids, one fur baby - a 7 y/o yellow lab named Cooper (see avatar)
Wife, support system, and partner-in-crime to PGY-3 (IM) and spoiler of our 11 y/o yellow lab

My youngest just adored his stuffed Elmo and called it "Momo." I changed my name to it because it reminds me of a time that passes all too fast.
