  • iOS update

I HATE IT. Hate. Any way to undo it? I know, there isn't. Holy cow. I've never hated an apple update like this one in the 5-6(ish) years I've had an iPhone.
The two things I cannot stand are, the words that show up while you're typing anything. I also dislike the little bubbles that show up when you double click the home button. It shows your most recent contacts.
Is there anyway to turn these two features off?

I'm not sure about the recent contacts, but you can turn off the words that are suggested when typing. Under Settings --> General --> Keyboard. Turn off "Predictive". Hope that helps!

        from this page: http://www.cnet.com/how-to/using-ios...type-keyboard/

For those who find QuickType to be a nuisance or prefer to have the extra screen space, you can hide the QuickType bar by touching inside anywhere on the bar and sliding it down towards to keyboard. A small line will remain, with what amounts to a digital handle, should you decide you want to bring back the QuickType options.
Hm..but this shows a way to turn it off completely, along with getting rid of the double-top contacts thing:

from the page I linked to above:

o disable this feature, head to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and scroll down to "Show in App Switcher." Set the toggles to off, and the recent contacts will be removed.

It also has a bug where group texts don't send as iMessages until you delete he whole thread.

And it deleted all my keyboard shortcuts. Nice work, Apple...

I updated my iPad to iOS 8 and apps are now crashing. DH says apple doesn't let you revert. He says to never update again until it's been out for like 2 weeks.
