"Just For Today" megathread. Post little announcements, petty rants, small victories, and superficial confessions here for one day only. But please please please consider opening new threads too. We nosy chickens want to read all the details and talk everything over ad nauseum too.

Hello sinus infection. It's nice to see you again. You'll be sticking around for a while since I don't have the $300 my horrible insurance company requires to get rid of you.
I'm just trying to make it out alive!

All day faculty retreat, yay! Thankful that there are lactation rooms all over campus though.

N had a bad dream. Apparently a purple butterfly was trying to steal me and there were princesses involved. It's adorable but I feel bad because she was really upset about it but I was running out the door. Hate work

Hubby: E slept pretty well last night.
Me: Yah, except for those 30 minutes of screaming when I was trying to get ready for bed that you slept through even though I tried to wake you up twice to go in there.

I blame the full moon. DD has been having nightmares a lot lately.

Since starting this VB6 diet, I've been having way too much fun coming up with vegan lunch ideas. Today I made a Mexican-spiced stir-fry of potatoes/summer squash/tomato/chard, put it over some corn tortillas, and topped with green salsa and a 1/4 avocado. OMG nom, and in the process I used up veggies and leftovers that have been sitting around for a week or more. Win-win!

Was up at 5 to take DH to the airport for an interview. Fell asleep again when I got home, was 15 minutes late starting work, and am a total zombie now. Will probably just nap all evening. I also had a midwife appointment after lunch and BabyBaskets kicked the midwife several times while trying to measure and doppler me. I was kind of proud. If she's going to pummel me so much, at least she can do party tricks.

It's hot as fuck again. *sigh* this weekend was glorious, glad I took advantage while I could.

I have spent so much of today on the phone with stupid customer service reps from Loft. OMG. Don't ever buy clothes at full price, for they will surely be on sale tomorrow.

$950 + for brakes, shocks, oil, and tire rotation. I cried so he's giving us 10 % off.

On the bright side, a random stranger in Walmart told me that I'm an awesome mom.

VB6 is awesome! We've never done it "officially", but we've worked a whole lot more vegan food into our diet lately.

Today I found the bedroom floor again. It's been covered in non-maternity clothes that I've needed to put somewhere for months now. I had no idea my bedroom was so big!
