"Just For Today" megathread. Post little announcements, petty rants, small victories, and superficial confessions here for one day only. But please please please consider opening new threads too. We nosy chickens want to read all the details and talk everything over ad nauseum too.

Oh no. That sounds awful. I'm so sorry!

My DH is going in to do a case on his weekend off. I think it will be a long one 😏.

This sounds soooo familiar. No matter how reasonable it is, that only one person needs to do the dirty work, and the cyclists would just be getting crabbier and crabbier if they drew the short straw and got the job, it still stings when someone's doing what they want to do and you're doing what you have to do. Much sympathy to you.

          Nail on head spotty.

Using the old flat coke trick from my kayaking days and hoping this bug won't go around the kids.

I will have a gin tonight!

DrK is on call and I just discovered that the babysitter is coming. I forgot that I reserved her time today. You know that feeling when you discover a 20 dollar bill in your coat pocket?

And... DH said I was the whiniest one. In my defense, I was whining about the kids whining. They were unhappy and fussing the whole time except for the Ferris wheel, which cost a total of $32 for us to ride, and the kiddie ride, which cost $8 for them to ride.

Hormonal mess today. Had a really minor argument with DH last night, but it was late and it ruined my sleep and I've been exhausted and weepy all day. Cleaned the house and had to finish my final project for this class I absolutely hated, and I am just. So. Done. Time to have some Sleepytime tea and put myself to bed.
