  • Help!!

Our social worker just sent us some information on a baby girl in Vietnam who has a serious heart condition but one that is easily fixed here in the states. She is desperate to find a way to get this surgery for this little girl because the Vietnamese social worker basically said that they were just going to let her die.

So- I have the ekgs etc. if anyone has a spouse who light be able to think of a way to get this surgery done on this little girl. She's two months old. If I was able to quit my job now, I'd say that we'd just adopt her and get things taken care of through the military BUT, we're not there yet.

Any and all suggestions are welcome. (or if anyone wants to add to their families, I can hook you up with Linda at the Adoption Center of Washington.)

    Jenn -
I have a brother and sister in law who are looking into adoption. What is the process to go through? Could you send me some contact information? Thank you so much! I can't believe they are going to just let the baby die! I hope that someone here can do something about it!

      Jenn,

I'm unable to help in the adoption department, but I will cut and paste this message to DH. Perhaps someone in his department can do something about this operation. I know that they do these types of cases. What is her exact diagnosis?

Also, I'm willing to donate all of my frequent flyer miles to get her over here.

        Kelly-

The exact diagnosis is Tertology of Fallot (I think I've spelled it correctly)

Linda the Social Worker says that she's a very healthy 2 month old otherwise- chubby and happy.

Jen B- The Adoption Center website is http://www.adoptioncenter.com and it gives all of the information.

          Jenn,

If you want, you could also send an email to all of the users through the admin section...perhaps someone who isn't online would also be able to offer up some help?

DH is going to ask peds surgeons tomorrow and let me know if what they say. He said a lot of times the surgeon will volunteer their time, but the hospital will not allow it. DH's employer is a charity hospital though.

I will let you know what he finds out. Meanwhile, the little girl is in our prayers.
