  • What magazines do you subscribe to?

I was taking to a friend the other day about our evolving magazine subscriptions as we get older. She got me a copy of "Kinfolk" for my birthday, which is like hipster whoa. I have cycled through pretty much every fashion magazine, but at the moment am kind of sick of the bizarrely unrealistic view of the world they project. It used to be fun and fluffy, now it's annoying. I like Cooking Light but haven't decided to subscribe yet. I wish I was the kind of person who got a serious magazine like the Economist, but yeah, I prefer them on the frothy end. What about you?

Game Informer and Sierra Club. That's it. I keep forgetting how much I like Cook's Illustrated and to subscribe.

We have gift subscriptions to Wine Spectator and Cooks Illustrated but we're getting a little sick of them both I think. The kids get Spider and Click (will probably upgrade to Ask when it's renewal time). When the neighbor girl came around selling subscriptions to support the middle school, DH said "Don't they have any useful magazines, like Sunset?" Since it was just $16 for a year I went for it.

I only get Vanity Fair. I used to get Cooking Light but haven't renewed. The recipes felt almost purposely tedious and a lot were too blah for the effort. I think I'm in the minority with that one, though.

None right now. My favorite, though, is Cuisine at Home.

I get Women's Health and we get Food and Wine. DH gets two bicycling magazines. We used to get Food Network Mag and I loved it - not sure why I let that one lapse :/

I subscribe to Redbook, US Weekly, and Kiplinger's. I have about 10 free 1 year subscription cards to Redbook magazine. If anyone wants one, PM me your address and I'll drop it in the mail for you.

Cooks Illustrated. My ILs buy us a subscription every year, and we covet our CI.
