We've all survived yet another week. What are your weekend plans?

DH was on call last weekend so we're really looking forward to this weekend. I'm meeting with a (only) potential babysitter for working part time. She will be her on Saturday to meet everyone, talk and spend some time with the kids. DH wants to take me to buy golf clubs with the end of season sales. We'll go hit some balls on the driving range and have lunch together. Although I was initially reluctant to play golf, I'm enjoying it and like the idea of us having something active to do together in our time off. It's fun to eat out, but then we're always eating and drinking. Not good.

Sunday is suppose to be beautiful here. I'm going to research a family hike in the Adirondacks. There's only a few good weeks left and the summer months slipped away with packing moving. It will be our first hike for the year.

DD10 is going to her first ballroom dancing class tonight. Eek! It's for fifth grade boys and girls and they learn how to dance formally. We're seeing friends from the old school, and invited them out to TcBY after the class to catch up. I can't believe we're here. She's wearing a hot pink dress with a rhinestone accent on an empire waist. A colleague passed it down, and her daughter wore it to the same classes last year. Reminds me of the sisterhood of the traveling pants.

Ohhhh my physical therapist was telling me there was a "grand canyon" of PA. I'd love to hear what you think of the hike! We're doing the actual GC in a May and have to train!

I'm on my own with both kids. The only good thing about the weekend is that we don't have to hustle to get to school and I get a break from packing a lunch.

It's so neat that Fridays mean something to so many families!

DH is actually off this weekend, Saturday AND Sunday, so I guess it's a bit of a TGIF for us for once. Tomorrow is karate and birthday party supply shopping. Sunday is a costume bike ride and bonfire event that our family has volunteered to help out with.

DH is off both Saturday and Sunday, too. Yay!!! We're hitting a pumpkin patch tomorrow. The crowds will internally kill me but DH and the boys are pumped. On Sunday DH and I are doing a brunch date and some solo shopping for our youngest's upcoming birthday. This month has been brutal, so we're all looking forward to reconnecting.

Last night we had a poker night with SIL and her family. Today both DD's have soccer games. I'm crossing my fingers DH gets back home in time from seeing his post ops to help me out since the games overlap. If he doesn't I'll be in a bind. Tonight SIL convinced us to go to the Swap Meet which is apparently a big deal here. I'm going solely for the people watching! Tomorrow we'll laze around the house watching football.

We are in Chattanooga with the three youngest and the puppy . Such a cool city with many dog friendly restaurants! Dd12 will be dancing all day so we are taking the two youngest to the aquarium while Barnaby Jones takes a nap (fingers crossed he is quiet while we are gone). It's odd to go away without all the kiddos.

We went to the Dallas Arboretum yesterday with my sister, SIL, and parents. It was hot but fun! Today we had a bday party that was a lot of fun and we relaxed with DH this afternoon. Now we are going to my parents to hang out. Tomorrow we are doing absolutely nothing. It is so nice to have a truly relaxing weekend

We are at the cabin. I just braved swimming with our two littlest and discovered after being in the pool for 5 minutes that I had put my swimming bottoms on backward. I spent the whole time feeling awkward!

I got to sleep in until 11 am today and putz around on my homework ... We are getting ready to take everyone to a 9pm movie. I'm sure people will find it odd for us to have little ones up so late. Oh well.

We'll hang out during the day tomorrow and go for a walk in the park and then head out in the evening for the trip home.
