"Just For Today" megathread. Post little announcements, petty rants, small victories, and superficial confessions here for one day only. But please please please consider opening new threads too. We nosy chickens want to read all the details and talk everything over ad nauseum too.

Husband's uncle just left this afternoon after a lovely long weekend staying with us. So far today we've cleaned the house, made scratch tomato soup from our garden's veggies, traded in books at the locally owned place, gone to the gym, and now are about to watch an episode of The Following. It's been a great weekend and I think I'm actually ready to start the work week tomorrow. Helps that I'm super busy Mon-Wed but already know I'll finish early on Thursday (get home prob around 5) with my usual 3 day weekend. All of my big chamber projects for fall are finished and I have some time before start preparing for the next set of performances, so I'm looking forward to having time to go to the gym again.

Hope everyone's had a great weekend!

2:02 half marathon. But I'm calling it 2:00 or 2:01 because I plucked D out of DH's arms at 13 and then walked the .1 with her (which felt really long). My 10k was 57 flat.

Long way off my PR but better than my last half 2 years ago.

I scored 3 pairs of dress pants and a maxi dress for $120 at BR Outlet today! I love that place. I also don't understand how two pairs of paints in the same cut can fit so differently. I have to try on two sizes of everything, because some fit in the smaller size and some don't. You guys, I can finally stop wearing the same pants to work every day.
