Yeah it was totally crazy. I guess his 2-3 scratch offs every couple months/when he's bored finally paid off. I still can't believe it even though I saw the check at my parents house last weekend!

I buy Megamillions or Powerball when they top 100M. It is a lot of fun for me to fantasize about what I would do with the big jackpot. I get a lot of pleasure out of it. I don't go to casinos often or to the horse races (ever), but when I do go to Vegas, I spend $20 on quarter slots. I actually have a winning record there. Last time I was in Vegas, I put in my $20, and I cashed out $247.50. It paid for our hotel for two nights!

I always have a limit, and I enjoy it as entertainment, and expect to lose everything I put into it, but OMG, ya'll the retirement fun I could have with that MM jackpot. Picture it. Scrooge McDuck swimming in his money. Awww yeah. Of course there's paying off debt, but there is a lot of fun and time with my family. I really do think money could buy a whole lot of happiness.

This is me, too, it's totally about the daydreaming about what your life would be like. It brings me a lot of pleasure and is totally worth the $2 every once in a while.

My ex was addicted to gambling, specifically Blackjack. I went with him a few times for something to do on a Saturday night but never got into it. He would lie going, I would find out one way or another. That's how I saw it was an addiction and not just something he liked to do. Anyways, took me a while to count up the red flags but it happened. And then he probably went gambling more! We didn't have combined finances so that was good.
