October 29th News

I will never, ever again work for a small NFP while pregnant. This entire transition to maternity leave has been a nightmare. Nobody cares about me or how many hours I work, as long as my work is done. There is a lecture tonight and no one else in my dept is here as of yet. And for two out of those 3 people, it's because they don't want to pay them overtime. But hey the 8 months pregnant woman? Let her work all she wants. My boss isn't even in yet, because she sets such a good example and makes me feel so supported as I try to coordinate our biggest student program with no help whatsoever.

Three weeks to go and I'm outta here.

LOL. Is it just me, or is there something STUPID in the water lately? I can't get through a day at work without wanting to bang my head on my desk because of the absolute nonsense I keep running into. It seems way worse than usual.

Apparently I have won the genetic lottery for Braxton Hicks contractions. They were seriously noticeable by 17 or 18 weeks, and now I can't seem to vacuum the freaking apartment without laying down every 10 minutes. It must be the sort of twisting motion of pushing the vacuum? My mom said she got them like crazy too. It's not enough to reach "irritable uterus" level but it is seriously irritating.
