"Just For Today" megathread. Post little announcements, petty rants, small victories, and superficial confessions here for one day only. But please please please consider opening new threads too. We nosy chickens want to read all the details and talk everything over ad nauseum too.

E might have actually slept the extra hour with the time change if hubby hadn't stupidly answered a page in our bedroom, where she was sleeping at the time. And then or course he had to get ready to go in to work. I dropped her in the bathroom and said she was his until he left.

DD climbed into my bed at 10 to 7. At 7am she whispered to me, "Happy November!" So I got up and left her with DH. I hope she doesn't pull that again, or get wiggly! But if she does at least he's already gotten about 8 hours.

I woke up to a beautiful, sunny day. It's such an improvement over the cold, gray, windy days we've been having. What a mood booster!
I had a plan to finish my Ethics paper by the end of next week, but I got ahead of myself yesterday and I *think* I'm going to finish that bad boy today. Yay! So the plan is ... coffee, paper, finish a week's worth of laundry!

Today is the day I back up and wipe my old laptop to donate it.

I'm also organizing all toys and starting a 3 at a time rule for DS1. We need a toy rotation system desperately, as I am over cleaning up after him. Instead of arguing/fighting about "all the things," there will only be 3, and he will put them away in a toy basket daily.

Add hanging a picture and steaming all curtains (which I never did before hanging them) to my list as well.

DH is charting for 4-5 hours today, and I'll have to take dogs on walk and kids to park so we all survive.

My clickin moms class starts tomorrow!

I got a local blog to pick up MIL's kickstarter campaign. I've been working really really hard on it but she still has a long way to go. :/

Paper = Done! 10 days early. Now I can relax, edit at will, and basically enjoy the rest of the semester without having anything big hanging over my head. Hallelujah!

I really need a pajama day where I can wear my jammies and vege out all day. DrK says he remembers those days yet he keeps asking me to do stuff. Packing, parenting, housekeeping, errands. This mom needs a break. Can't he be the default parent for a day?

Threw a great party last night. I was.... Still hung over from the night before so didn't drink. Discovered I actually have MORE fun sober when my house is filled with friends! Only regret is I was too busy talking to take pics of all the great costumes.

That's a great time! He should be really proud of that! Especially in a field as big as NYC.
