"Just For Today" megathread. Post little announcements, petty rants, small victories, and superficial confessions here for one day only. But please please please consider opening new threads too. We nosy chickens want to read all the details and talk everything over ad nauseum too.

I recently started using my light box and it seems to be helping. Yay for the little things!

Early drop off/pick up at school and then both boys to the dentist. Last time I did this, the dentist told me that SPD is just bad parenting and I ended up chasing the boys through a rainy parking lot. Hope it goes better this time.

I actually think we had the funniest election commercial that I can remember this year: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aknxr9mKM2g

              I remember that...
If it happens again, please promise you will find a new provider. Saying SPD is bad parenting is right up there with claiming ADHD as too much sugar in your diet, or Autism because you vaccinated your child.

On the 3rd try, the dealership finally figured out what is wrong with my car and it still has 600 miles left on the warranty. Hallelujah!

Yay!: Got the lock on my front door fixed. It's been jammed for ages.

Boo: Something smells like it died it my kitchen. I've cleaned the whole thing and taken out the trash and I can't figure out where it's coming from.

It was okay. K1 was squirming but entertained the dentist with his reasoning regarding Gd and superheroes. K2 was charming as he is with any adult that is not me. Pretty much par for the course for my boys. The dentist says it appears likely that K1 will eventually need braces. K2 apparently has "a perfect mouth" and might get away without ever needing them. It would be nice if at least one of my children didn't need braces.

Do you store root veggies anywhere? A rotting potato can do that.
Also, check the sink drains in your kitchen - not uncommon for something gross to smell there.
