"Just For Today" megathread. Post little announcements, petty rants, small victories, and superficial confessions here for one day only. But please please please consider opening new threads too. We nosy chickens want to read all the details and talk everything over ad nauseum too.

Last night I slept a whole 5 hours at a stretch without waking up! Between having a cold and aching hips, it's been over a week since I've slept more than 1.5-2 hrs at a time. (Getting ready for having a newborn, I guess!) Super, super grateful for a bit of solid sleep though. I needed it badly last night.

Tried to mail my poster to my conference so it would be one less thing I'd have to carry, and it was going to be $100. Guess I'll be carrying it with me and E after all. It'll be cheaper to check it on the flight!

Oh I feel your pain! I'm usually a bad sleeper, pregnancy is making it worse. I think I wake up at least 4 times a night! Have you tried a body pillow or a regular pillow between your knees for the achy hips? I'm now addicted to my body pillow, good luck to DH when he gets back and tries to sleep in the same bed as me!

It would certainly nice if somebody would call me to tell me when they're going to deliver my refrigerator... I can't sit at home all day.

            Rave: DS1 likes school again!
Rant: DS1 is close to outgrowing 5T pull-ups, and still refuses to use the toilet for poop purposes... (Anyone know if they make 6T?) :/

Today is MIL's 60th bday and we sent her a huge bouquet of flowers. DH and I debated where to send them (home vs. work). I deferred to him because it's his mom. Of course, when it was delivered to their house, FIL took a pic and sent it to MIL. She then sent us the pic and thanked us. I kinda feel like FIL ruined the surprise of her seeing and smelling the flowers first hand. I wish I had put my foot down and gotten them delivered to her office.

Had an OB appt today and the kiddo's heartbeat was crazy loud! It was cool. Gender ultrasound in 2 weeks -- can't come fast enough.

Oh god. I need to go get checked. I've been dragging my feet because I'm nervous (and I feel like I spend most of my life at the dr right now, which is insane. Hesitant to add something else, but I know it has to be done!!!).

Don't fret, it's okay! DH and I just started going last year, for a yearly check. It wasn't invasive at all.
