"Just For Today" megathread. Post little announcements, petty rants, small victories, and superficial confessions here for one day only. But please please please consider opening new threads too. We nosy chickens want to read all the details and talk everything over ad nauseum too.

DS1 has been having allergy episodes since we moved here (just figured it out).
Doing skin testing in 2 weeks: it's hard to believe that he was fine where DH was miserable. It would be insane if the kid is allergic to stuff here.

I can't live with all this allergy drama.

DH says if he (DS) is allergic severely to the dogs, that we may need to consider sending them back to our breeder (their co-owner). Efffffffffffffff.

Thirteen - crap! When we visited Arizona last year (you know, where people move to get away from allergens), DD was the most allergic she'd ever been! Hope you get it figured out, and that it's not the dogs!

If you where in PHX they really screwed up by bringing in plants from CA and other areas this changing the natural vegetation. Tucson as well but to less of an extent.

Fingers crossed Thirteen! So sorry about the allergies!

Hope your friends hubby is okay Cassy!

Thirteen, are the dogs the most likely culprit? That'd seem strange to me since you guys had them in the last location too. I hope it's something manageable, whatever it is :/.

Last day of work! (I hope)

Bitch of a manager is sending me passive aggressive emails from her office. And she has barely talked to me this week. Whatever, have fun figuring all this shit out while I'm gone. Because I'm not answering your calls or texts once I leave this joint.

I TOTALLY JINXED MYSELF BY POSTING THAT IN THE 11/20 THREAD.

Now I was told ON MY LAST FUCKING DAY that I can only take 3 sick days in a row without a doctor's note. Or being put out on disability. I am so livid and upset. Now I have to try to wrangle a doctor's note that will allow me to use sick time without kick starting state disability. I have emails that say I can use my sick time how I want, and now this last minute change. If I can't get written out or use my sick time at my discretion, then I will be seeking counsel. I cannot believe how I have been treated after all that I have been through. Isn't it enough for me to keep saying repeatedly that this baby could come any day? I had to leave the office sobbing and drive away. I don't want to even go back in anymore. :'( Just done for the day.

We do know that DH is allergic to them, but it's "mild" (a 2 on the scale), and they are my babies, so he's been looking the other way. He complains when he has congestion ("I bet it's the dogs"), but I've held him at bay.

                  However...

DS1 is constantly coughing, sneezing, etc since we moved here. Even the new baby (!) sound congested and sneezes all the damn time. Ugh ugh ugh!
It would be my luck that the kids are coming into their own problems, and are both allergic (and more so than DH).

It's 3-1: if everyone is allergic except me, is it really fair to keep them? I'm not a "pets as yard ornaments" person, so if they could never come in the house, would that be a good life for them?
These are things running through my head currently. I'm trying not to torture myself until we know what's going on. I am *not* moving again!

My mom's been asking about grandparents' day at E's school for pretty much the last year. I walked in today and they had Welcome Grandparents signs all over, which was a surprise to me since I hadn't heard anything about it. I asked E's teachers, and they said they don't do it for the babies. My mom is so disappointed!

Whoa. What? They are just telling you this now? On your last day? After approving this before?

How many sick days were planning on using? (I can't remember your due date).

On a lighter note, I got asked by both my spin instructors this week if I was an instructor somewhere else. I have been to spinning in months! I was so flattered!

I picked up DD1 from college yesterday to come home for family pics and Thanksgiving. Holy shit, the change is huge. GONE is the entitled bullshit. Having to deal with life on her own for the last two months has been a great opportunity to use the skills she's been taught over the years.
