I bought 5.5 pies today at Market Street. Yes, you can buy half a pie. Now my kid is flipping out because his mom and sisters are too dumb to make the Thomas game work on any of our three laptops. He's trying to get the puppy to pee on his oldest sister. And the puppy has gas. #thisiswhymommydrinks #wherethehellisthecalgon

Starving. Wish I knew if DH would be home for dinner. If not, no chance I'm going to the trouble of making crab cakes (thank you unexpected costco run), and I just want to eat eggs or something now.... It's 5:30, totally normal time to eat dinner ☺️

What a day...
Working on getting E to sleep through the night again plus staying up too late trying to catch up work has me exhausted.
My mom had carpal tunnel surgery this morning and I picked her up to take her home. On my way to get her, our shared cleaning lady called and said she had let the dogs out into the backyard (at my mom's request), and one of them escaped. She's 8, and this has never happened. Some of the neighbors have seen her much further away than we would have expected, but we haven't found her yet. We've got signs up all over the neighborhood, but it's been 9 hours now since she got out. I'm so sad for my mom. There are a lot of wooded areas for her to get into.
On the plus side, Lowe's said they'd refund our fridge completely if we wanted to come pick out a new one. The manager was horrified and was concerned about his own recent Samsung refrigerator purchase.
Then I got home to find a dumpster parked in front of my house. Called the number and asked why it was there, and the guy said he expected someone would be calling. I guess it was full of concrete and they had to get a other truck to come get it, so they left it there temporarily.

Last day of work is complete!!!
I may have worked from 9a-7p and it was a little stressful. I was asked if they could contact me in case of emergency while I was on leave. It took two strongly worded replies for them to get the message that I am done and for them to agree to leave me be. But I did have a nice lunch with my pregnant co-worker and I left my office nice and clean (and devoid of all my personal items) due to nesting instincts.
I feel like Julie Andrews in "The Sound of Music" and I want to dance around in the fields while singing "So Long, Farewell". Maybe I can prance-waddle in the snow tomorrow instead.
