"Just For Today" megathread. Post little announcements, petty rants, small victories, and superficial confessions here for one day only. But please please please consider opening new threads too. We nosy chickens want to read all the details and talk everything over ad nauseum too.

Anyone care to guess what is directly below this spot on the kitchen counter?

If you said a half-full dishwasher with a little magnet on the front indicating that its contents are dirty and thus inviting more dirty dishes to be added to it rather than be left sweating on the counter above, you would be correct.

My puppy keeps waking at night. Why? Because he has to go outside and have diarrhea poop. Four times a night. I'm a zombie for the second day in a row.

poor pup and pup momma. Do you think he's eaten something he wasn't supposed to? When mine get a case of the runs I add a little plain canned pumpkin to their food to help firm it up and ease digestion

Are you at my house?? Although to be fair, my husband usually at least puts his in the (empty) sink. And we have a light on the dishwasher instead of a magnet.

I'm struggling with the food allergy thing. Who knew that candy canes weren't all safe for people with nut allergies? And lip balm? And lotion? The list goes on and on. Every season, there's something new I need to look out for. My DD is doing really well, but the first year with food allergies is a steep learning curve. It's overwhelming, and I don't like to think about it too much because I could make myself totally insane with the thought that a piece of the wrong food could kill her. Really hoping it gets easier as time goes on.

Every. Day. My mom pulled part of a green onion out of his mouth the other day. Yes, she had some growing in her backyard. DH said no people food anymore. He's gotten tiny nibbles of whatever K drops on the floor. I don't even want to give him treats until this is over.

                    Has he been dewormed lately?
Does his food have any sort of grain in it? (Corn gives my dogs diarrhea...)

I have no idea. He went to the vet last month for the last round of puppy shots. Went to the groomer Tuesday.

He's on the same food we gave our last dog — Purina One Lamb & Rice puppy formula.
