  • I'm so old...

I saw the news piece about the Real World New Orleans guy that died, and I sat thinking, I don't remember him from that cast. And then I realized he was from the 2010 season, not the 2000 season. What has made you feel old lately?

I always feel old If you ever want to feel really out of touch, open up a Seventeen Magazine. It's like hieroglyphics to me now.

Reminds me of many years ago. I was at a soccer practice for my youngest. All of the parents were all bemoaning the fact that they would be turning 30 in a year or two and how old that was. I was past 40 at the time. I kept my mouth shut!!!

We went to hubby's 30th high school reuinion. We've been married almost 25 years and he graduated med school nearly 24 years ago.....

Teaching made me feel old - current seniors were toddlers when Sept 11 happened. Having kids make me feel "young" - if you mean "in the know". I feel like I'm up on a lot of the latest infant/toddler trends.

I don't feel old, but am startled to realize the 90s weren't just 10 years ago.

I cringed when someone told me that Nirvana was retro the other day. Wasn't that just 5 years ago? 😁

I don't always feel too old
I'm one of the youngest parents at the kids school for the AGE of our children.
I watched SNL a couple weeks ago and didn't find one thing funny, nor did I understand wtf they were even talking about.
(Granted, SNL hasn't really been funny for a long, long time....)

Just about any time I meet someone younger than me I feel old, especially college aged because I'm usually mistaken for being their age or younger (I got "high school student" a couple of times this past year...). So inevitably I get the "wooooooah no way, you don't look that old!"... yes, yes I am *that* old. Thank you. The reverse of that is anytime I meet someone my age or older and they assume I'm much younger and address me as such, which makes me feel like I'm about 10. I'd rather feel old than 10.

I follow my teenage niece on Instagram, and I never know wth she is posting about. Current teenage culture is way over my head!

I wish I could remember what I was at recently where somebody assumed I was a student, not faculty. I also got asked if I was in high school a couple of years ago.

I went to visit my high school teacher and he asked if I could watch his class while he ran to the car. This boy kept turning around while I was sitting in the back and finally he said "hey, are you the new girl?" And I said no, I graduated in blank, and his friend started laughing saying "OMG, Brian just hit on an old lady!" If he thought I was old at 29, he'd probably think I'm the crypt keeper now

Omg, I couldn't figure out who he was either. Thanks for clearing that one up, haha.

I still "feel" young, but I'm so out of touch with social media stuff. Snapchat, twitter: yeah no clue how to use those.
