"Just For Today" megathread. Post little announcements, petty rants, small victories, and superficial confessions here for one day only. But please please please consider opening new threads too. We nosy chickens want to read all the details and talk everything over ad nauseum too.

I'm tired. I am hosting a Christmas party tonight and don't feel like making any more cookies. Or cleaning. Or doing anything besides taking a frickin nap. H won't leave me the F alone. Stick a fork in me.

-Wanting to make all the Xmas junk food, but out of coconut flour and almond flour.
-Tired of cleaning up bodily fluids.
-Tired of hearing indistinguishable words through loud whining.
-Baby must be held, not worn even - just held, or screaming ensues.
      -No preschool tomorrow! 😱
-Bridesmaid dress ordered in size eleventy billion, due to boobzilla situation.
-Grandma continues to deteriorate: couldn't use legs and had a panic attack. Wondering if bridesmaid dress purchase will "guarantee" her passing and necessitate emergency holiday travel with sad baby, instead of wedding. 😞
      -Need alone time with violin

        That is an awesome picture.

I am exhausted, I am fighting a cold, and I am panicking thinking about all of the crap that needs to get done in a short period of time.

On the plus side... C has a band concert tonight. I remembered on Tuesday that he needed new pants. 12 years old and one pair of 30x32's later...

I want to sleep. For a week.

I think I felt tooth #5 broken through the gums last night. Tooth #6 is visible, just not through yet. That makes 4 teeth in a week.

            Nor'easter.
Two hour delay for the kids....annoying.
            Got my oil changed today.
Currently eating a cookie from last nights exchange...in bed, watching will and grace. Dreading the bus dropping kids off in 15 min. I'm freaking tired. I hate insomnia.

DH took both kids on a "field trip" to a museum in the big city today. This means DS is basically playing hooky but I don't GAF and we warned his teacher we'd be doing this regularly this school year. Heh. Love that the kids are getting the educational benefits of the big city and I'm getting the empty house in which to be productive!

And my heat is broken. Changed batteries in thermostat - which fixed an issue last year - but still nothing. FML. I have a meeting in an hour and a half an hour away. Really hope our landlord doesn't need 25 follow up calls like usual!!!! Ugh!!!

Hubby said last night he wanted to go to dinner tonight. I texted at 5 and asked where he was he said he'd be home by 6. It's almost 6,and he hasn't left. Our child goes to bed at 7. Sorry buddy, I'm not going out to dinner with you tonight.

So...a bowl full of mini oatmeal cookies submerged in milk counts as cereal, right?
