I decided to try another food truck today, since the weather is pretty nice, and I was hungry. This is the second time I've walked over there (just 2 blocks away), and again, I'm thinking I need to do this way more often than going to the stupid Einstein bagels in my building.
Today I tried a burger food truck, and I got a Pho Burger and fries (the girl working was super excited that I pronounced pho correctly). It was really good!
I think I'm going to make Fridays into Food Truck Fridays and make sure I try more of them.Allison - professor; wife to a urology attending; mom to baby girl E (11/13), baby boy C (2/16), and a spoiled cat; knitter and hoarder of yarn; photographer

Having ppl over for a game night (aka drink and be offensive with cards against humanity). I always have a bit of anxiety about hosting the day of (without reason, I always have fun)...but I usually only have ppl I know fairly well come. This time I invited a guy I don't know well from work and his husband (he's new around here and he's super nice); he said he'd be there tonight and now I'm all anxious. Boo.

Someone has totally been stealing my amazon prime packages. The first was apparently delivered the day after thanksgiving. Literally cups that I pee in for my cheap opk's - have fun with that one! Then apparently Wednesday my pregnancy tests and some aquaphor was delivered, but it's no where to be found. I'm totally pissed, but think it's actually kind of funny that someone thought they were being awesome by stealing Christmas gifts and got pee cups instead!

JDAZ - that would piss me off too! Did you file a police report? I hope they were sorely disappointed with the packages, at least, although obviously we need you to pee on all the things!Allison - professor; wife to a urology attending; mom to baby girl E (11/13), baby boy C (2/16), and a spoiled cat; knitter and hoarder of yarn; photographer

No I didn't! Wasn't sure what my next step should be. So you think filing a police report, not contacting UPS?
I have a 20% off target coupon, good until tomorrow - so I'll be peeing on things very soon, despite their efforts. In some ways it's good they weren't down there... I'm totally trying to fight the urge to test too early!

JDAZ, do you have a neighbor that's home during the day that you could let know you have a package coming? My next door neighbor gives me a heads up when she has a package being delivered this time of year (I work from home so I'm generally here) and I'll go move it to her back door or bring it in if it's particularly valuable. We've had a ton of car break-ins and petty thefts in our neighborhood the past couple of weeks too. It's so ridiculous. Hope they enjoy their pee cups :/Wife of a surgical fellow; Mom to a busy toddler girl and 5 furballs (2 cats, 3 dogs)

We live in an apartment. At least half of my building is home, and there are tons of packages down there every day. They just leave them In the little vestibule thing where the apartment buzzers are. Usually it isn't an issue?
I think I'm pretty good at getting the stuff I am really waiting for, but the amazon toiletry type stuff I kind of forget about for a day or two. But I am actually normally home, so i guess it just my fault for not checking enough. (Our garage is a totally desperate entrance, so I don't go out the front unless I'm walking somewhere - which hasn't happened this week).

If you sign up for Ups MyChoice you will get reminder emails when you're supposed to receive a package, even if it was sent by someone else (not something you ordered). Then at least you'll know if you should check for something?Wife of PGY-4 (of 6), cat herder, and mom to a sassy-pants four-nager.
