I thought I would go ahead and start this. Got up early and drove Waco. Just gave my oldest a text that I am almost there... We'll get his stuff and then make the 3 1/2 hour trek back home!! Looking forward to having him home!

I realized last night that I still had my university teaching schedule on my calendar for today but it's finals week and we're done!! So I have the morning and first part of the afternoon free!! Was really looking forward to going to yoga -- I haven't been able to go in close to two months -- and husband let me open one of my Christmas presents last night which was quite obviously a yoga mat. But I checked the schedule at the studio and I reeeallly dislike the girl teaching my power class. So I guess I'll just go run on a treadmill at my normal gym.
Final concert with the outreach tonight, yay!! Almost done!!! but since it IS finals week at the university the faculty are ready to start chamber rehearsals. I've been coerced into rehearsing after the kid's concert, which means by the time I get there we'll be starting around 8:30pm. I shouldn't complain since I have the first half of today off, but as I've already expressed: I just need a fucking break.

E has a cold and it's possible her teeth are still hurting - she's not sleeping, and she's super clingy. I'm SO sleepy! I dropped her off at school anyway, because she's generally happy there with so much going on.Allison - professor; wife to a urology attending; mom to baby girl E (11/13), baby boy C (2/16), and a spoiled cat; knitter and hoarder of yarn; photographer

Got a text at 12:30 nanny is vomiting and probably can't work today. Desperately text siblings. Future sister in law says she can do it, bless her. Sneak out of bed early to take a shower. Drop shampoo and baby wakes up in my bed. Get out of shower soaked and bring him in the bathroom. Baby sobs and tries to crawl in shower. Threat is real as he has climbed in fully clothed before. Undress baby while sopping wet and bring him in. Little shit promptly cuddles up and falls asleep in my shoulder in the shower. Must be nice.
Dress baby and dry hair. Future SIL arrives and I am way behind. Move car seats to her car and give her the rundown. Realize I left pump at legal building and abandon plan to make it in time for the IT wide meeting so I can retrieve my pump across the city.
I really want to go to sleep before midnight one nightMarried to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

At 8:30 C emailed me that he needs to go home sick from school. My sister picked him up and brought them home. I left work at nine. Thankfully my dad will pick him up by noon so I can go back to work. Of course, the ex he can't help with any of this stuff because he has a new job. Whatever, I'm out of PTO because I just started my new job and I'm going to have to take the holidays as unpaid leave. (Here you need to use PTO for holidays, but you earn enough time to cover them. Except, because I started in October, I have Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Years to cover.) So, no matter the situation, his job is more important than mine.Kris

Fire drill at work today. We had to walk down 20 flights of stairs and stand outside for 30 minutes. It's a good thing we have our holiday party today, since I already got in my exercise for the day.Allison - professor; wife to a urology attending; mom to baby girl E (11/13), baby boy C (2/16), and a spoiled cat; knitter and hoarder of yarn; photographer

Tomorrow we fly to FL to see the inlaws for 2.5 days. My monster in law is giving DH heat because I want to have lunch with Heidi and 13 on Friday. So stand by ladies, I may be sequestered in a cloud of old lady smell mixed with Obsession on Friday.
Mostly I just want to get to my parents' house. I haven't seen them in so long. It was a short visit in October, and prior to that it was February. It's been a long year and I just want to see the ass-end of 2014 in the rear view.
The impending inlaw visit is just a pile-on with what is really bothering me. I found out this morning that one of the kids I used to babysit, who was married with a wife expecting Baby #1, committed suicide last week. Hugh was a sweet kid, smart and funny, and I can't believe that he grew up, fell in love, and just couldn't go another day in this world. I feel so, so sad about it.

Spent last night in the ED. Stopped being able to hold anything down around dinner time Monday night. I tried to make it through work but by 10am I didn't even have the strength to walk to and from the bathroom without sitting down so they sent me home. Came home and begged DH to come home early after I couldn't sit up in bed on my on strength and I was losing patches of time. When he got here, I was barely lucid and let's just say it was ugly.
Heartrate was high, bp was high, and he was visually scared which made me scared. They also took me straight back for an ekg.
All said and done, super dehydrated and my bowels shut down. BAGS of fluids later and I can hold down fluids now but still feel crappy.
Someone tell me pregnancy is worth it. I'm not having an easy go of this and I cry every time I remember hubby calling my name and pleading with me to stay with him and not close my eyes. It was terrifying, you guys.wife of a PGY-2 anesthesiology resident & mother of one adorable baby girl

Yes, I have been super nauseous for the entirety but he wouldn't give me zofran because I wasnt puking regularly. They gave me some last night and a small script and that stuff is a life saver!
I see him tomorrow, the OB that is. I don't think there is much he can do for me now though. Is there?wife of a PGY-2 anesthesiology resident & mother of one adorable baby girl
